I'll be heading to the football shortly (Reds vs Shrewsbury Town, managed by our ex caretaker manager, Micky Mellon, who I have a lot of respect for), so will sort out all the admin bits this evening and get invites sent out by then.

If your blonde email address is not the main one you use, please let me know (NB: no need if you already did this for the Dynasty League).

Will also send payment details for the league to everyone.  For the Dynasty Managers, just to confirm that there's no change to the entry fee from last season, so £20 required from all of you for that, in addition to the £30 for the redraft (assuming you're in both).  Same deadline for payment applies before I hit the reserve list!

I don't know Scooby about how a NFL Fantasy League works, but reading this thread is the greatest thing ever. It's like watching Baseball on TV, all those stats & acronyms, & I don't have a clue what they mean, it's awesome.

Yesterday was great, with "picks", "drafts", "swaps", "trades", it was like Beat The Clock when Brucie used to run it on Sunday Night at the London Palladium.

Sheriff is Brucie, Phil, up in the Lake District is Norman Vaughan (swinging/dodgy), Tal is Bob Monkhouse.

Ha, swinging and dodgy eh, I hope that relates more to his game persona and not mine. Deffo think you should add your name to the new season league that Curtis is arranging Tony as think you will love it. We draft at 21.00 on Monday night and as long as you keep picking a team each week you can have loads of fun ( its a  great way to follow NFL and its twist n turns too)

If you liked all the phrases and sayings on the thread can I suggest you take a look at  'Rosterbating' and 'Rosterbator'

Taken from Urban Dictionary

Rosterbating

Rosterbation: The near pornographic pleasure derived from over-excited interaction with a sports team's squad roster.

While can be relating to a real team, as in a fan rosterbating to their professional teams lineup, it usually refers to the narcissistic pleasure of rosterbating to a line-up created by the rosterbator. Examples include a fantasy league team, or a video game career mode team.

An example of this could be 'I can't stop rosterbating over our lineup this weekend'

Enjoy.

these were last season's settings mark

Starting Roster Positions & Roster Limits

    Quarterback:
    1
    Running Back:
    2
    Wide Receiver:
    2
    Tight End:
    1
    Wide Receiver / Running Back:
    1
    Wide Receiver / Tight End:
    1
    Kicker:
    1
    Defensive Team:
    1
    Bench:
    6

obiously on the bench you usually want a reseve QB/RB/WR but the split is up to you

Scoring Settings
Offense

    Passing Yards:
    1 point per 25 yards
    Passing Touchdowns:
    4 points
    Interceptions Thrown:
    -2 points
    Rushing Yards:
    1 point per 10 yards
    Rushing Touchdowns:
    6 points
    Receiving Yards:
    1 point per 10 yards
    Receiving Touchdowns:
    6 points
    Kickoff and Punt Return Touchdowns:
    6 points
    Fumble Recovered for TD:
    6 points
    Fumbles Lost:
    -2 points
    2-Point Conversions:
    2 points

Kicking

    PAT Made:
    1 point
    PAT Missed:
    -1 point
    FG Made 0-19:
    3 points
    FG Made 20-29:
    3 points
    FG Made 30-39:
    3 points
    FG Made 40-49:
    4 points
    FG Made 50+:
    5 points
    FG Missed 0-19:
    -3 points
    FG Missed 20-29:
    -3 points
    FG Missed 30-39:
    -3 points

Defense / Special Teams

    Sacks:
    1 point
    Interceptions:
    2 points
    Fumbles Recovered:
    2 points
    Safeties:
    2 points
    Touchdowns:
    6 points
    Blocked Kicks:
    1 point
    Kickoff and Punt Return Touchdowns:
    6 points
    Points Allowed 0:
    10 points
    Points Allowed 1-6:
    7 points
    Points Allowed 7-13:
    4 points
    Points Allowed 14-20:
    1 point
    Points Allowed 21-27:
    0 points
    Points Allowed 28-34:
    -1 point
    Points Allowed 35+:
    -4 points

you can see that rushing and receiving touchdowns score 6 points, passing for a touchdown scores 4

so there tends to be a premium on the ebst running backs and receivers in the draft....though a luck/rodgers/peyton etc can mix it in there

Ugh, to be honest I was on the fence about playing again this year. The draft date is not good for me, I am going to watch Surrey vs Notts on Monday and will be on a train back at the time of the draft.

Therefore I would regretfully like to pull out this year, if this is a real pain in the arse numbers wise I will do my best to take part.

Don't worry about it.  Just makes it more likely that it'll be a 2x10 than a 2x12 comp.

You'll be missed, but don't feel compelled to play if you're not 100% sure.

Technically he's got till midnight but he's still not claimed his team so I'm not expecting him to pick by then.

Give it until 11pm then go ahead and make your pick if you wish.

Im in no rush and happy to wait until tomorrow. Was more concerned that I'd missed a pick and I was on the clock!
