Once they put him on IR, then the site replicates the status. I guess much depends on whether the suspension is cleared if a player misses games whilst on IR. |

Its a bit weird that the Yahoo site makes us do this tho bud, Ben Watson has been on injured reserve for 13 months. He is listed as PUP on their site at the moment, can I move him to IR after making a selection? If Kenny Dixon is on out for the season already surely Tighty can place him on IR regardless of what Yahoo has him listed as. Doesn't the yearlong IR over run the suspension? |

The various PUP designations are all different to IR status though, so are equally invalid with regard to putting a player on IR within Yahoo. The option doesn't become available to do it (if you go to move any of your players now, you'll get the options of the bench or one of the roster positions). If a player's status is IR then a third option appears, which is the Injured Reserve element of the roster, and a player then stays there for the remainder of the season (as far as I'm aware he doesn't benefit from the option to return to the active roster, but this is usually so late in the season that it's not relevant for Fantasy Leagues anyway). Personally I prefer this to how the other sites I've used handle IR. For example, I played in a Fleaflicker league where you could move people in and out of IR on a weekly basis as long as they had some form of injury status from 'Out' upwards. It was just used as an extra roster spot if a player had a short-term injured player. |
