I've removed an inappropriate image from the thread.

Do not put anything like it up again please.

My bad, forgot my audience and got carried away a little, apologies...

Actually, if you want to get something worthwhile out of this have a read thru Nash's Equlibria (um) regarding game theories. Especially in predictive settings. It's basically what playing fantasy sports, especially trading/making picks once you have mapped out what your oppo's might do and DFS games amount to, but with a bit of a twist. It's also a way to understand plotting your way thru long term betting markets as a layer/bettor too which you might find interesting. ie a Superbowl book or a Greyhound Derby market

If not I'm sure we will hear from you again when you think you can take a free shot.

I'm alright thanks kid - had a good week last week, when I rifle through all this i'll look up this Nash fella you talk about.

Congrats, that's a proper chop off. Well done.

It doesn't change the fact that simply quoting the Shaggy defence of repeatedly saying 'it wasn't me' over and over again means it wasn't you. The great thing is these things are easy to check.

So it was kid not son that annoyed you then which is interesting given that Scummy and Angle shooter are deemed ok by you, actually I've forgotten 'it wasn't you....' was it.

Anyway, good work on the DFS, Nash is deffo an interesting read.

Good to see nothing much has happened since I last checked in.

For info, can everyone please make their picks on Yahoo by close of play on Tuesday night (ie before midnight).  Anything not processed by then is subject to my tinkering with the waiver settings after that time and, once started, any unprocessed picks will be lost and the unpicked players will go onto waivers with everyone else.

Having discussed with Tal, the initial waiver period prior to free agency will be timed so that the final week of preseason has taken place before it ends.  This is to ensure a level playing field for everyone as I don’t think that the fixtures lock during preseason games and I don’t want the player pool open to picks while games are being played in the middle of the night.  I’ll confirm exact timings once the setup is done.

Tal is currently the most active commissioner as I’m on holiday in France with sporadic access to blonde.  Please try not to give him too much to do in the meantime.

whats the difference between the waiver period and free agency to follow? aren't they the same thing?

Free agency starts with a round of waivers, so everyone has a chance to claim for players before the free for all which follows it.

In dyno, open for trade offers if anybody is interested.

Have quite a depth at WR, nobody off limits, am after strengthening RB/TE positions.

Mike Evans, Jarvis Landry, Kenny Golladay, Alshon Jeffery, Stirling Shepherd, Dede Westbrook, Moore all open for offers.

I am not a member of any of the leagues you run, but I have been trawling through this thread for tips etc.

I am about to join a league (probably on Yahoo) and ran my 1st mock draft.

Here are my results and also the first 3 full rounds of picks.

I realise I should have prioritized a RB earlier but the few I had looked at went quick (Barkley, Gurley & McCaffrey) and I was on a 30 second clock.

Your Team
1. Patrick Mahomes (KC - QB)
2. Matt Ryan (Atl - QB) - not actual 2nd picked but timed out and this was the player top of my auto select list
3. Adam Thielen (Min - WR)
4. Jared Cook (NO - TE)
5. Kyler Murray (Ari - QB)
6. Ka'imi Fairbairn (Hou - K)
7. Andy Isabella (Ari - WR)
8. Baltimore (Bal - DEF)
9. Darrell Henderson Jr. (LAR - RB)
10. C.J. Anderson (Det - RB)
11. DeSean Jackson (Phi - WR)
12. Michael Badgley (LAC - K)
13. LeSean McCoy (Buf - RB)
14. Deebo Samuel (SF - WR)
15. Tony Pollard (Dal - RB)

Round by Round results
* your team in bold
Round 1
(1) Rob - Saquon Barkley (NYG - RB)
(2) Joe - Ezekiel Elliott (Dal - RB)
(3) BoBbY - Alvin Kamara (NO - RB)
(4) Out2getyou - Christian McCaffrey (Car - RB)
(5) Vincent - Patrick Mahomes (KC - QB)
(6) Matt - Julio Jones (Atl - WR)
(7) Jeff - Nick Chubb (Cle - RB)
(Cool Todd - James Conner (Pit - RB)
(9) gregg - DeAndre Hopkins (Hou - WR)
(10) Rec. League All Star - David Johnson (Ari - RB)
(11) Jeff - Odell Beckham Jr. (Cle - WR)
(12) Jordan - Dalvin Cook (Min - RB)

Round 2
(1) Jordan - Tyreek Hill (KC - WR)
(2) Jeff - Travis Kelce (KC - TE)
(3) Rec. League All Star - Davante Adams (GB - WR)
(4) gregg - Le'Veon Bell (NYJ - RB)
(5) Todd - Todd Gurley II (LAR - RB)
(6) Jeff - Michael Thomas (NO - WR)
(7) Matt - JuJu Smith-Schuster (Pit - WR)
(Cool Vincent - Matt Ryan (Atl - QB)
(9) Out2getyou - Joe Mixon (Cin - RB)
(10) BoBbY - George Kittle (SF - TE)
(11) Joe - Leonard Fournette (Jax - RB)
(12) Rob - Mike Evans (TB - WR)

Round 3
(1) Rob - Damien Williams (KC - RB)
(2) Joe - Antonio Brown (Oak - WR)
(3) BoBbY - Kerryon Johnson (Det - RB)
(4) Out2getyou - Keenan Allen (LAC - WR)
(5) Vincent - Adam Thielen (Min - WR)
(6) Matt - Devonta Freeman (Atl - RB)
(7) Jeff - Aaron Jones (GB - RB)
(Cool Todd - Melvin Gordon III (LAC - RB)
(9) gregg - Robert Woods (LAR - WR)

Any tips, comments etc greatly appreciated.

you really dont need to pick a QB till the 8th or 9th round at the earliest

picking 3 in first 5 rounds is suicide you basically only need 1 (unless its a dynasty league or 2 QB starting)

Before the mock draft, I didn't know how the teams were set up and how many players would be on the roster. I was looking through the website to find the basic structure but couldn't see it. That was the reason for doing a mock draft in the first place.
I wanted Barkley & Mahomes in my side. Ryan was an auto pick accident but really Murray should have been left to later.
I really need to work faster on finding and pre-selecting players as the few I had highlighted went pretty quick in the draft.

if you making a draft list you basically need to list every player on the list at-least the top 100 in the depth chart

there are people i will want to draft in the 12th 13th rounds but wouldnt look at them in the 9th or 10th round

1 Qb is ok unless its a stand out QB you can pick him the round or maybe 2 before the kicker and the defence (which is normally you last 2 picks

pick 1 maybe 2 TEs and then fill your boots with RBs and WRs

you can pick up players to cover TE/def/K/QB during there bye weeks off the free agency
