Sorry for the slow roll but been very busy irl and at work.

Ok I have worked with this guy for about 5-6years and he is now in his late 20's and was my assistant branch manager for the previous firm we worked for when I ran 2 offices in 2008-2010 and looked after the office when I was in the other one, he is a top fella but I found out he was quite sensitive when some banter in the office went a bit far/personal and he texted me that night and explained he was bullied at school so made a special effort in his appearance and has big boy band hair which makes him very rememberable on the road and is a decent guy so wins lots of business. This first clash changed the way that I managed him and as at the time I was on a senior management course where part of it was about personality profiling (will come onto this another time) meant that I continued to get the best out of him and as he wins the houses from other agents that we sell he is a massively important part of the team.

Go forward 2 years later and on a random day a different colleague from the office rings me and says he wants to move to my other office as my assistant branch manager has been playing about with his girlfriend (who was our office cleaner at the time) now my colleague was engaged at the time and his future father in law worked for the company and I protected him and made sure none of this ever got out and it was a case of "it takes two to tango" and to be honest whilst he was ool he just got himself in a situation and didnt know how to get out of it.

During our time together we have done various deals on properties and always split any extra ££ earned 50/50 so when I was offered the chance to work for this new firm 18months ago I wanted to bring him with me and pushed very hard to get him and another colleague to move 50 yds down and across the road to where we are now even going as far as in the final negotiations taking £1k off my basic salary so that the owner of the firm could give it to him along with £1k himself to make the offer more attractive ( he is worth more than £1k in comm so it was worth it)

Unofrtunatley due to some poor planning by our other offices he had to cover all 3 offices valuations for 10days then our neg in this office went on hols leaving just myself and my colleague, then he was away for 1 week followed by me for 2 weeks which meant that for 8 weeks we only had 2 people in the office and meant we were firefighting as opposed to being proactive and the business suffered, I also think he had some relationship probs and that meant that after me being away for a week he broke and sent an email basically saying

He felt the office was suffering as we had taken the foot off the gas and that me playing poker 2 weekends a month was part of it (which was unfair as it's my day off or holiday that is used for these times)
Some general office habits had slipped (mainly down to lack of manpower which we were rectifying in recruiting)
We all have jobs that we do that the others dont know how to so when one is off this puts pressure on (obv a training need for us all)
But basically he turned the knife about the fact he felt my weekends either as holiday or as my day off were impacting the business.

What was disappointing was he could/should have come direct to me as if he had we could have resolved it as a team instead the owner wanted to discuss it direct with us all ( he has not been down yet) so I took the bull by the horns and spoke to him direct and then called a team meeting where we all sat down and made a plan of what "a good office" should run like daily/weekly/monthly and will put all the ideas in place for when our new starter comes in in a few weeks time and hopefully we can move forward together.

I will come back to the other bits mentioned tomorrow sometime...

Have to agree with the other 2.
Trust is a big thing and if you can no longer trust him then you should make life dificult for him, especially after you helped him out of that sticky situation and secured a new job for him.

All the best mate.

Yh not sure Mr Kelly gave it the best chance today, I was on for £25ew at 12/1 so a small bit of profit but it is only in the last 3 runs this year that it has shown any form.

GL today at DTD bud.

Not had much time to post as have been trying to avoid being on here for massive amounts of time but will do a TL;DR post later on..

In the interests of no after timing of self bokking though I am today on

Over 3.5 goals and over 4.5 goals in the Carlisle vs Oldham match at 13/5 & 7/1 respectively and a small single on Carlisle outright
plus a cheeky over 2.5 acca on over 2.5 on Burton,Notts Co, Wycombe, Carlisle
and a mega banzai

Walsall to be winning at and losing at FT at 25/1

I have had a good couple of days on the sport and at work so will update later on..

We talked for about an hour and left on good terms and are having an office meeting on Monday to iron out any issues and try to plan forwards but the past week has definately left it's scars and made me question a number of things and in my next Tl;Dr post I shall talk about

A tilt bet
A trigger point
Business Plans
Being under it due to a flat sale not having gone through yet
Ok this was where we left it and although things have improved at work with us having everyone in for the majority of the time there is still an underlying atmosphere around the office which is not good.

Unfortunately my tilt bet was not a winning one and led to a trigger in my head that I remember from a long time ago, basically I wanted to put a bet on an over goals double a week or so ago and needed to deposit to a website but I could not for the life of me remember the password to one of the websites so deposited to totesport only to find that they didnt offer the goals market that I wanted and I'm ashamed to say that instead of snap withdrawing I punted off the £100 on a random football double that didnt even come close.

This really disappointed me as I try not to punt off on stuff I really dont fancy and obv did this time, which after coming off a poor run of sports results (like the button podium the weekend before) I reigned myself back in for a week or which a few years ago I would have pressed or chased and only now a few years down the line do I have the discipline to take a step back.

Quite a few pages ago I posted a link to a flat myself and my brother are selling and we have had a buyer in place but they needed to be a bit creative on the mortgage side and this has took an immense amount of time to get right and with no tenant in there and the years maintenance and buildings insurance this was now costing us money and was putting a further strain on mine and my brothers relationship along with the disposable available so going on a losing run was not ideal.  Then a random text from an old source turned £50 into £200 which turned into £400 thanks to S.Vettel winning the Korean GP and then £600 with a win on the NFL and we were going into the GUKPT side event at Luton in good spirits.

With all the added pressure on me at work I had started to question a lot of things in my life and asking myself the question    what if...  now I had a few small business ideas that I thought would work and have always seen myself with my own business at some point but with one little one and another on the way wonder if it will ever happen, maybe with whats going on at work it will spur me on to develop my ideas further but it still feels like a gamble at this stage of my life.

One of my ideas is property related but I think the market needs to improve a little before agents will spend the ££ on a regular basis and I would need to help market Petra's business to bring in some extra ££ and balance the books if we lost a chunk from my earnings whilst we started off the other stuff but I need to do some further investigation first. (watch this space)
