If each bet was even money you would only need 12 winning bets to get to £163k and chances of success are just over 4000-1. Given that you have 100 pops at this the chance of success would be 400-1. (I think)
Might do the math (unless you already have) to see calculate odds needed to hit the £100k after 15/20/25 bets.
£4k on a 25/1 shot just doesn't have the same appeal.

edit: at 1.45 you get to £100k @21 wins (almost!)

Estate Agency and the Recession!! We have not sold a house since the 3rd of September and were in the top 2 agents in this town, this is bad!!!! I would be concerned if we were not doing all the things that you can do to get houses on the market and to get interest in them but its still a bit worrying all the same.  |

When and if i scoop somewhere between 20-25 bets time half of the monies is going to Petra to squirrel away for a rather tasty extension and loft conversion for "Chez Eso" and to start her off a little business we have been thinking of, the other half is gong to be usedon a couple of years of Poker where basically i am going to take some shots at events i would not ordinarrily buy direct into.
I have not yet been to Vegas and played Poker as when i lived in California for 6months was not interested in the game so this would defo form part of the events!
Look out later this week for the first selection!
Sigh, i had read it. Obv i expected to see ESO's 50K to 1 MIRRION instead. Sensibles ftw. |

Personally Stu i think that its gonna be a tough as its the low interest rates that are keeping a lot of people from drowning and they cant stay low forever, if and when they move up and the economy is not better this will create the next wave of repossessions. If people are thinking of downsizing i would stay put if your upsizing i would wait till the market got a touch worse and then take a hit on your own prop and then jump up a bit if your risk averse and be in a better prop when the market comes back. Defo money to be made this way!! |
