The side event was rubbish and I will reconsider playing side events having bust the main again as you are never really in the frame of mind to play and although I won a decent pot early I ended up jamming 17 bbs over a raise and 3 calls at 2/400/50 with JQhh nad it was GG as the original raiser had KK and we didnt get there.

I went for a steak at a nice place in Edinburgh which I would recc to anyone in the area http://www.steakedinburgh.com/ and then started to plan how to get home and with the flights late aft to Stanstead and the weather incoming I booked a train ticket online for £70 and was chuffed when Sunday morning having picked up the ticket I saw they were £200.

Before departing the station I bought a young guy who was on the street some breakfast and a coffee which I did on 3 seperate occasions whilst up there and whilst some will say "why?" I dont care its £20 and I never give cash but will always offer some food or a coffee and can justify it as I buy Vinny dinner when I see him and this is probs the same but gives you a warmer feeling inside  Wink

7 Hours later and I was home and the snow was here and I was glad to be home and then I received the text from Shallow  "Any NFL action, our favourite expensive hobby?" so we played under points in the SF v Atlanta games with my bit £135 at under 48.5pts on the basis we couldnt see Atlanta scoring that many which was gg'd early and then £150 on NE -7pts @ 10/11 which went the same way.

Monday we discussed the merits of backing Villa and that 11/10 to qualify was better than  2/5 to win the match but I wanted to see how a horse got on I fancied before wading in and after that had lost I had an uncomfortable amount of £500 on Villa to qualify, not uncomfortable in that it hurts but just that it was stupid to have that amount on and moreso with some plans that I will discuss later so whilst I am chuffed for all the Bradford fans it was a rubbish match to watch from my point of view.

Further small losses were accumulated by backing England in the cricket on the TFT thread before I managed to stop the rot having told Shallow I liked Chelsea -2 corners on the handicap vs Swansea and we were winning 3-1 which for readers not au fait (in before) means we would get our money back if it stays the same and then watching Chelsea go 5-1 up with 20 mins to go this should really have been home and hozed until "the ball boy" incident which meant Swansea would have more possession and it ended 5-3 Chelsea which with 5mins to go I really thought was going to be another loser chalked in the book but a push it was!

Arranged a dinner with some blonde hero's namely Free Rollin, Flushy, Dubai, Beaneh and Vinny for Hawksmoor on Feb 5th which should be good and I have not been there before so am looking forward to this and went to see Les Mis at the flicks this week which was pretty decent and as acloset fan of the musical snap went out and bought the CD next day.

My only bet in running atm is Hunter Mahan to be in the top10 @ 3/1  of the Farmers Golf on the basis he had an easier weather draw so am hoping it blows on the other course today and he can make a few shots back  on the leaders having shot -3 under in the first round.

I am currently writing a business plan which would mean having to literally take the biggest gamble I have ever taken but could reap some pretty big rewards if it all worked out and even at 70% it would maintain what we have now but is a pretty oneoff opportunity and if I dont go for it now will most likely not do it but it would be such a big gamble in terms of timing as we are only 6 weeks away from the birth of our second baby so who knows?

Cant say more than this atm until I decide and take it further or dont as I need to crunch the numbers further and then see how comfortable Petra would feel about us doing it as this will most likely be the deciding factor...

Have yourself and the Sicilian stopped your Over 2.5 system?

I am currently writing a business plan which would mean having to literally take the biggest gamble I have ever taken but could reap some pretty big rewards if it all worked out and even at 70% it would maintain what we have now but is a pretty oneoff opportunity and if I dont go for it now will most likely not do it but it would be such a big gamble in terms of timing as we are only 6 weeks away from the birth of our second baby so who knows?

Best of luck if you go for it Rich.

It takes guts to do it and the majority don't like going outside the comfort zone.

He replied that your wife did not look preggy when he saw her the other week then when I sent him the link to the thread he sussed that you were quoting Eso

Well it's been a couple of weeks since I posted which has been due to a number of reasons which will be described in a cliffs and a TL;DR version and act as a reminder as to what an absolute BELL-END I have been!!

CLIFFS

1) I have been knocking it in in spades which is no fun whatsoever and I started to feel out of control so put some measures in place before it got completely out of hand which I will talk about later

2) Work has been insanely busy which is good but with 2 new starters in the 2 offices I am now looking after I had forgot how much time they take in the early days

3) All my spare time has been devoted to getting the house finished for the birth of baby 2 in about 4-5 weeks time

Now for "THE GOOD, BAD AND UGLY" version

THE GOOD

2 Weeks ago I went to Zach Shallow's 1st birthday party which was unsurprisingly set up for the adults by Dubai and there was a healthy amount of food and alcohol available with some left for the adults as well  Wink  I met Kev Allen for the first time it was great to see how Zach has grown up since the early early days when he was tiny.
Here we all are

As I said work has been incred and on Feb 1st I had 2 new starters with one for each of the 2 offices I am now repsonsible for as part of my promotion  but despite interviewing well  only 1/2 is still with me and I have replaced the other who turned out to not be suitable very early on.

My main office have been selling houses like we are in a boom with even the properties at the back of the drawer having been on for ages getting interest and offers

This sold at FULL asking price after 2 years on the market at £580k and this one which has been on the market on the seafront for 1 year and sold for 1 Million

Petra also had some nice photos done of her and bump and took what she described as her best ever new born shot for some clients that I shall post over the next few days.

NOW FOR THE BAD!!
