Good luck
Cheers Doobs

Lost some traction when Btn shoves for 18bbs and I call of A7o which doesn't hold on the turn vs K10o

Just got back to Essex, alas the draw finished in 11th having had an epic spin up I just couldn't find the FT push and ended up chipping down being spot and card dead and tried to bluff a river vs Chickenmelt which left me 15bbs and then after a move to the feature table and a blind increase I had 10bbs which became 8 and eventually my last 7 went in with 105hh utg1 to which the chippie snapped behind and despite my pair outs and a gutter being live with 2 cards to come it wasn't to be and £6000 was the score (sorry it wasn't more Crab)

Thanks for the diary rail guys.

Next poker for me will be GPS DTD followed by Edinburgh with the mini WPT on the horizon also so watch out for a package but now work, family and bed beckon....

Poker is officially a lot more fun when you have loads of chips!!

I think my game has changed alot over the past few months hopefully for the better but when you have chips it is such a different game as you can peel and really get inside the other players head and it is amazing how people turn up with the most ridiculous hands in spots you would never imagine.  This weekend I have seen loads of people with mountains of chips sat being uber tight and then randomly spew off in one big pot having maybe sat for 4 hours and not played a hand of note.

I sat with Chickenmelt (Andy Young  gl him today) for lots of Friday and Saturday and he was relentless as the big stack around the bubble which obv he should be and at that stage I was short stacked so had to nit it up a bit as when I opened he had a 3b of 80% plus and basically coffined myself and Tom Hall for a few hours and I was so glad when we broke tables on Saturday although I moved to the feature table.

I would think my chevy will get some tv time as having 1.5bb's at 8/16k and folding the button to leave myself 28k which was 10 minutes before the break and then on the break chatting to Middy and LeKnave at the bar where I now had 400k and then 10 minutes after the break I had 1.2million it was the biggest swing I have ever had and I think my day would have played out completely different if I held when I called off A7o for a 20bb button shove but didnt hold vs K10 and I would have had 2million at that point.

Obviously I cannot moan as I actually stood up thinking I was out when Danny beat with with AQ so everything from that point was a freeroll in my head but it would have made a nice story had I made the final Sad

I hope they dont show the hand where I call 225k on the river vs Chicken having defended Q4dd for one bb and basically stationed all streets with bottom pair but apart from that hand and one early on day2 where I check raised the river with A high on KK7 7 4 vs Matt Frankland where he didnt feel like folding AK I think I made some good calls during the comp and not too many bad ones.

Upon leaving I rang Petra and told her we were knocked out in 11th for £6000 to which she replied

"Well thats not very good is it!"
