The big Nog arm snap was a sickener.
That'll be one I look away from on future highlight reels, joining the Tim Silvia Arm snap Mir inflicted.  scared

He's not much of a fan-favourite, but I've always had a bit of a soft spot for Mir.
I hope he can put on a bit of a charge for the top.
I think the Heavyweight division is really wide open and any one of about half a dozen fighters could hold the belt this time next year.

Re-Jones, I really thought we had a fight on there for a minute. Looked Like machida was going to cause him some problems, but sadly, Jesus's favourite fighter got there relatively easily again. Is LHW division the weakest in the UFC now? I think Jones really is THAT good, but I can't see a credible challenge for him from the ranks.

Agree re liking mir. I've always liked him a lot - he's one of my fave fighters.

Wonder how different his career would be if he never had that bike accident

Absolutely.
Real company boy when you look at his record.
19 straight fights in the UFC, going back 11 years to UFC34
Not exactly a glittering list of opponents, but as you say, without the two year break and the shakey return, he could have held the title for a while, especially given how weak the division was during the Sylvia / Arlovski era.

Should think he'll get someone top 5 ish next.
Carwin, Cain, or even Lesnar rubber match if Overeem does the business at the end of the month.

Fucking hate Mir. Sorry.

Random rumours going about that Overeem won't be given his license. Seemingly Brock/Mir 3 could be on!

Hate is quite a strong word.

Why do you dislike him so much?

No need to be sorry tho.

Think its harsh to say LHW is weak.  Divisions always look weak when someone dominates and cleans it out but the rest of the division is so incred close in quality I think its still an excellent division, Rampage, Rashad, Hendo, Shogun, Machida, Li'l Nog, Bader, Davis.
I think MW is much weaker in the UFC, probs the weakest.  Only Sonnen looks even closely capable of beating Anderson and then the rest of the pack Bisping, Wanderlei, Munoz, Leben, Stann, Maia, Belfort, Okami seem so far behind.

Agree with Mir, always been a huge fan.  Something different in the HW division.

I think the trouble with that list is it's a mixture of great fighters past their best, decent fighters who are co-main event at most, and Bader.
I suppose what I really meant is that, compared to decade ago when LHW was the flagship weight clas, it's not as strong as it was.

Agree with that.
When Bisping wins against Maia he should get a shot, mainly because most of the list has tried and failed to dethrone Anderson.

Overeem made that look easy.
Should be a cracker against Dos Santos.

Enjoyed Diaz too.
Don't know what it is about Ceroni that gets under my skin.
