Congrats everyone I'd say are in order, all avoided what looked like a train crash in the making from the despondent tone of some posts Cheesy

I'm gonna go inflict some damage with a bottle of Vodka and a curry now, a full english tomorrow morning and a Burger King feast at Waterloo before the train home!!!

Just had Sunday 'lunch' and had the same-sized serving as my 10-year old.  I'm really stuffed.  As a treat, I allowed myself 3 roast potatoes and it felt great putting those bad boys away.  Then it dawned on me the change of attitude for me.

A while ago, 3 roasties would have been pyhsical and mental cruelty, I'd have been looking to book double-figs for sure.  Yet today, 3 felt like a luxury, an hour later I am totally full and yet I don't feel like I was deprived, I feel like I had a big treat.

I'm encouraged that this is how I am now thinking.  If it still felt like deprivation, I'd be a bad day away from sticking the lot back on.

Fellow Fatties.

I would like to change my second challenge details, if I get permission from you lot.

Basically my Jan-March challenge is to get under 14st, and the April-June challenge is to maintain it.

However, my whole plan for this challenge originally was to look good on my wedding photos. I get married in New York on May 10.

I will be in the Big Apple for nearly two weeks, and as you may know, they like their food out there. I really want to enjoy my honeymoon, and think doing so will see me put a fair few pounds on. I am happy with that, but for my challenge, it's a bugger.

So I would like to change my April-June challenge to an April-May 7th challenge (the day I fly out). But to make it harder for me, instead of maintaining under 14st, I will set the April-May challenge to get to 13st 7lb (Not the current challenge, that's just under 14st).

So a shorter term, but more weight loss needed.

If you guys disagree, I will stick to April-June as originally planned, no problem.

What do we think?

Its not really gonna improve in the last couple of weeks I'm afraid, I've got a couple of horrible weeks ahead before I head off on holiday. If I can lose another couple of lbs in that time I will be very pleased.

Not at all. Am away Mon to Thurs wining and dining this week, same Mon to Weds next week. Can't avoid it mate, the job comes first, won't even have spare time to go to the gym when away. Gonna be tough to lose much at all before hols. Don't get me wrong I will try, but its going to be tough.

At the end of the day I'll still have lost over a stone, so its all going in the right direction. If nothing else what these type of weeks teach me is how not to put on weight when I would have done before this thread, so there is a positive there for the future in terms of long term maintenance when I reach my end goal.

I'm not so overweight I'm unhealthy mate, so in my case I disagree. I'm actually reasonably fit right now because of the all the cycling I've been doing.

Would anyone find it rude if you had a coffee while they all had dessert?

Would anyone mind if you drank less alcohol than them?

Doubt it.

Pretty sure you could get a 15 minute run in each day or something. Not hard.
