Why do you take Ibuprofen instead of a proper pain killer for a headache?
Secondly, nut odds on the Ibuprofen causing a lot of your stomach problems
What are "proper pain killers" please?
I don't have stomach problems, apart from indigesation when I eat badly. And an overly large stomach, of course.
Well Paracetamol for starters, Ibuprofen is an anti-inflammatory rather than a pain killer. One of its most common adverse effects is upsetting the stomach and digestive systems
if your headaches are caused by inflammation then ibuprofen would be the ideal thing to take then
if they're not caused by inflammation then any relief you get is just down to the placebo effect - but this is probably better then switching from taking lots of ibuprofen to lots of paracetamol; too much ibuprofen can (but usually won't) cause a sensitive stomach - too much paracetamol causes liver problems.
Ibuprofen gets handed out like sweets in A&E departments precisely because it has hardly any side effect, doesn't build up tolerance and isn't addictive - if it's not working then a visit to the doctor would be more appropriate than just switching to a better pain killer.

I'm still forgetting little things & getting muddled up with stuff too easily.
I hope you're not under the illusion that you have a monopoly on this problem.

If your headaches are caused by inflammation requiring daily use of Ibuprofen u got problems.
Paracetamol as a placebo......lolol
All NSAIDS can and do cause a lot of stomach/digestive problems.
If I need a painkiller will only use an opiod, which A+E always give out

errrm pretty clearly I was saying NSAIDS can have a placebo effect - but they're so safe they won't do any harm.
And paracetamol aren't opoids

Yeah missed the bit about Ibuprofen as placebo, skim read and thought u meant paracetamol, NSAIDS do a lot of harm though, just don't get bad press like paracetamol do.
I never said paracetamol was an opiod, just that is what I take and which I have always been given at A+E
