WEEK ONE loss = 7.5lbs.
Week TWO Loss = 3lbs.
Week THREE Loss = 2.5lbs
Week FOUR loss = 2lbs
TOTAL loss so far, after 29 days, = 15lbs.
March 2nd - 12st 13.5lbs (nil loss)
Daily Intake. I'm not going to record these daily now, as I have much the same every single day. If I get outt of line, or change what I eat, I'll Post accordingly.
Week 5 Target - 2lb loss.
Month Two Target - 7lbs loss loss
Change in Diet Regime.
I've decided I'm not burning enough calories relative my intake, so I plan to start exercising, via the medium of walking.
Today's challenge is to walk along the Thames Walk from my place, which is half a mile upstream of Hampton Court Bridge, all the way along the river bank, to Walton Bridge & back.
I googled Mapped this, it appears to be a distance just short of 53 miles.

End of month, 56k total for Jan in my concept 2 pulling/rowing 1 milly challenge. Very much down on where I wanted to be but I am running again now so I will have fewer sessions to fit my challenge into.
Added another 32k in Feb, although this is nowhere near enough for me to reach my milly challenge. Up to 88,000m for the year and March is going to be low on metre volume! In better news I am clocking up some miles on my feet and I managed a 5k pb on the concept 2 in feb.

I had to use up a random holiday day on Thursday so given I was in no rush to do anything I walked to Eastbourne from Hastings, which is less than a third of that distance.
Bit achy by the time I got there, so it will be interesting to hear your report back on how your walk went.

It's strange that you should make this post today. I was thinking of posting something along the same lines.
I need to start exercising again, but I'm waiting until after the weekend because on Monday l'm having injections in some of the parts that I use when I'm perambulating.
Due to reasons beyond my control, my next weigh in won't be until Sunday.
Ps- How do you spell 'Humongous fry up?'

Well I did the walk, & I'm happily knackered.
Walked non-stop, at a brisk military pace, for an hour & a quarter, then just turned round & came back. It was too much, to be honest, I'm terribly unfit, & I feel a bit whoosy now.
Grand walk though, along the river bank from Hurst Park (where the Racecourse once was, just near Hampton Court Bridge) all the way to just short of Walton Bridge.
Not measured it exactly, but around 20 miles outbound, & 40 miles to get back.
I inputted it into my calorie-burn spreadsheet, added an equation for calories in v fuel consumed, & I reckon that when I weigh myself tomorrow, I'll be just over 7 stone.
Simple.

Day 13
Starting Weight - 18st 4lbs
Target Weight - 16st 4lbs
Current Weight - 17st 12lbs
This gives me a total loss of 6lbs which I am more than happy with.
Tonight will be tough, I am attending a family dinner and I gather steak and chips are on the menu so I will have to keep an eye out for the portion size I think!
I am in the same situation as both Tom and Tony, I really need to begin exercising so that is the mission this week.

There's plenty of free apps that track your walks via GPS so you know exactly how far you've been.
I use runkeeper which was recommended by Kinboshi. Really good and well worth the money.

It definitely helps me, Lee, to be able to record my progress publcally, because I much dislike the idea of failing.
My thanks go to you.

Thanks Matt.
I am pretty sure my walk yesterday was 50 miles. May have been 70 miles.
Good Luck for Day Two @ DTD today.

Good luck with the exercise Dyl. You live in a beautiful part of the country, so long walks should be a pleasure. I could never do, or even contemplate, one of those treadmills or static bicycles, & there is no need, we have so many lovely places we can walk.
I would not bet against you beating your target.

Thank you Sir, yes you are very correct, where I live has beautiful surroundings that in some ways I don't appreciate as I take it all for granted. I am in no rush to lose the weight as I want to ensure that when I lose it that I then keep it off and my main target is to improve my health and I am already feeling the benefits.
Keep up the great work yourself as well mate and look forward to having a proper catch up soon
