I was toying with starting a diary next year something like "Journey to becoming half the man I am" (the title needed work). Obv with me completely stopping/seriously cutting down on a lot of stuff I will become pretty boring. So will jump in with you guys instead.

Can't tell you my exact weight as scales max out at 24 st and when i step on they currently say error. I doubt its the batteries tbh..

Next year is going to see the biggest change in my life to date and I have already started taking steps to turning my life around which involves a bit more then just losing weight as I am a massive degen in so many areas of my life other than food. I will be doing a VLCD (Very low calorie diet) crash to get me off on the right foot, then switch to healthy living after 3 months of it , last time i did something like this I dumped 3 stone in a month, then obv hit the pizzas and stellas straight after... ultimate goal is to get down to 16 stone then put 2 stone of mass muscle back on. Believe it or not I look pretty anorexic at 16 stone.

Played footy last night and I am struggling to walk today, this is not due to any inflicted injury. That's not good at 27. Anyways hope everyone has a good xmas and come 2012 there are a few less fatties on Blonde.

Gl to all on this challenge, however, Milligan I doubt you will last a day or two on this nutrition. I am aware that you can lose a couple of stone by just refining your dietary habits, though my approach and advice would be as always... good food, good exercise and a healthy mind. Hard work pays off, simples.

I hope that doesn't sound patronizing as i hope you achieve your goals.

Wow .....another

Great milligan

Do you agree to the bet terms as of op ? Or are you setting 2stone as your goal ..?

2 stone in 12 weeks from 01st Jan 2012, if not £20 per lb short/over to charity? DEAL!
And keeping it off for 12 weeks??
2
Ahh, missed that bit. my plan was to bulk back up a bit, say i lost avg of 1.5 stone a month for 5 months I would be in my gaining muscle phase and incur £20 for every lb i put on in the last month. Happy to take part for the first 12 weeks if you guys are happy with that. if not. no worries.

If your carrying on after 3 months it should be a piece of piss for you to keep below your 3 month target for an extra 3 months. We are setting that target so you just don't give up after 3 months.

Ohhhh, so its only every lb under the original 2stone, not maintaining from your lowest point. Yea thats fine. misread.
In Milligan Huh?

I can very highly recommend the Dukan, currently 6 weeks in and have lost over 1.5 stones from a starting weight of 13.5 stone. Aiming to lose another 0.5 stone then consolidate the weight. As I spend hours sitting in a car all day with lack of exercise this diet is excellent since only light walking is recommended.

I know ya views bettsy and they are sound and you do know your shit when it comes to this stuff. The VLCD i will be doing is called Lipotrim pre made shakes, bars, soups etc which provide you will nutrients you need at very low calories, plus with the amount of healthy stuff i put into my body at the minute anything would be a bonus. Its just so i can get to the point where i can run again without feeling my back will snap in 2. its regulated by the chemist. http://lipotrim.co.uk/ have to have a BMI > 25 to even be allowed to start it.

Lee I am confirmed.

All of these diets are basically low carb of some description or another. Keeping the weight off after will be your main problem.

If we already make a decent start before Jan 1, can we change our target?

Not to less overall of course, its just if I manage to shed a couple of pounds between now and then I'd sooner just have my new target to be 13lbs.

Obv if I put on weight, I will increase the target to 16lbs or whatever it is too.
