I don't know whats happened this week ...........

cos i had such a good week last week i think I've just messed up big time this week

Same mate all gone tits up again today FFS

It was easy peasy at first but my will power has diminished.

Just put it to bed and crack on lads, it's done now and if you dwell on it you're only gonna agitate yourselves further. I did the same on Sunday after having my 'rest day' on Saturday and overloaded on crap again. You'll probably weigh in high if you weigh yourselves now but next week any weight you've put on will be lost again and you'll be right back on track.

In something as long term as this periods will crop up planned and unplanned where you'll go stuffing chocolate or overdo the takeaways and that's a fact. Everyone is making progress though which is the main thing and as long as the little lapses are in the minority everyone will continue to make progress. What I find myself doing is thinking fk it I've eaten 2 chocolate bars I might as well get a chinese now and then some ice cream etc. etc. Cheesy

Onwards and upwards
thanks marky....

went to the gala last night and busted in like 30 Min's, so drove home really pissed off what did i do ..................of course went to the kebab shop!

however today back on track today no snacks ,alpen breakfast and soup for lunch ....it is takeaway day today but think i will have jacket potato or similar and just buy the kids one!

Yea you had yours last night Wink

Good read so far guys.  Best of luck.

I have a question for all you wight loss folks out there.  Over the last few months, I have been getting teased a bit by friends and workmates about my weight.  Since I was a kid, I could eat anything I wanted and not put on weight. I could eat takeaway every night and junk food in vast amounts and still weigh under 11 stonne.  That is until I hit my 30s. Things have started to change and other people seem to have noticed rather than me looking in the mirror and getting a scare at what is looking back.

Today at work, I was getting teased as usual about being unfit. I offered to jump on the scales to prove I was just under 11 stonne.  To my shock and disgust, I now weigh 13.2.......
It still hurts my eyes to read that number.  I checked again when I got home and this time it as 13.4.

At what point does age catch up with you and play with your metabolism?

I used to be very fit and lean, now I feel like a different person at 32.  I am going to start indoor rowing again tommorow and banning myself from takeaways. My big problem is eating about four takeaways a week for dinner.

This is how I came undone before, I was exercising but eating absolutely terribly and in turn piling it on. Dominos a couple times a week, KFC, Chinese and Indian. It's a bit of a joke that the Dominos people used to ask 'no cookies or ice cream?' when I called to order from my mobile Cheesy

I'm only 31 and whilst never fit and lean whilst in the Navy I did play Rugby twice a week and 5a side the other 2 nights on board which kept me in good nick. I was also on the piss 3/4 nights a week and still managing not to balloon up like Jabba thanks to the exercise.

If you just cut the takeaways to one at the weekend for a treat and start preparing your own food or at least buying healthy meals like the M&S style ones Woodsey posted about earlier that will set you on the right track and over time you can gradually start to shift over to a more balance lifestyle. It's a habit thing and I find once I'm into a routine of eating well it's easy to follow. In the same vein once you're on a cycle of eating badly it's difficult to break away from.

Starting some exercise a few nights/days or w/e is obviously ideal and should see you kicking on in the right direction (I'm a 16stone fatty who would eat takeaways 7days a week if he could so feel free to discard ignore Cheesy)

Good luck with it all anyway and the biggest thing of all is wanting to do it which you obviously do

You only have 2.5 weeks left dont you? - thats less than half of what you have already done?

Refocus, and whilst getting back on the horse start thinking of the next goal

It's been a tough few weeks for me.

I've been struggling through a cold which I think I'm finally coming out of.

Not been training well and not eating anywhere near enough at all.

Current weight is 102kg which is 16st so I'm halfway to my weight target.

Unfortunately my waist has gone up to about 37" which means none of the extra weight is good weight and needs to be lost or turned to muscle.

I desperately need to get back to the gym. Had a session last night. Just a loosener really to ease myself back in ready to go nuts over the next few weeks.

Basically I'm still at square one although with slightly less motivation. Need to get sorted fast or I'm in for a few hundred quid forfeit!!

Find it weird that so many of us are fading this week in particular!

Plenty of time to go though. Keep them double chins up. Some of us big guns could do it in a 1.5 weeks if it came close to the wire i reckon. Think i am on about 16-19lbs loss at the moment which is on target for this thread. Obv my own goal continues until July and will take a lot more hard work than i have put in so far.

Getting back on the horse is so hard. Why does food taste so nice and make me feel so good?

Week has gone near perfect for me, though I am cautious to make such a claim because I thought it had last week and was gutted with a 3/4 weight loss. I've made some minor tweaks to my diet, nothing major, all stuff I would be happy doing the rest of my life.

Been using the calorie counter jobby and estimate I have burned just under 1000 calories more than I eat a day, though I have tried to be tough with my estimations so if I am lucky, it has been more.

Whatever the result this week, I am pretty chuffed with how easy it has been for me to control my appetite and still eat stuff I like. It is remarkable how much bread & cereal screwed me in hindsight, I think I might have to eventually stop having bread alltogether.
