Have really enjoyed this thread and you guys appear to have done really well.

Are you planning on continuing or coming back in say 3 months and posting your weights then?

Most of us are doing a 3 month maintaining type bet starting today. I dare say it will become all year round for some of us.

0.2lbs under my target of 2 stone for the first phase, which is cutting it very close and In reality I should have been miles under target considering on 19th Feb i weighed in at 23st flat, so not very happy with myself at all.

Since the 19th Feb time I have had some very bad preplanned wknds and over these last 2 weeks I have been pretty bad with exercising and evening meals and even started slipping on lunches this last week tbh.

Obv maintaining my current weight would get me nowhere, so to that end i have set myself a new personal goal which is much much harder than the first:

My personal phase 2 - : In just over 3 months time I will be having my first child and have set myself the goal of being max 20 Stone on July 9th, for every lb above that figure I will give £10 to charity and if by some gross mishap i am above my weight now I will give £10 for every lb above 20st upto and including 22st 11 and then £20 per lb every lb after that as per the original clause. So if all goes horribly I could be dishing out a bag, but i don't plan on giving a penny as i am a filthy nit with stuff like this.

Things I have in my diary before then:
Wine and dine in London on Tuesday where a company is trying to get us to renew our contract so they ply us with booze and posh grub.
My mate's 30th up in Glasgow next weekend.
My bday on the 3rd April.
Jersey shore party in June

tl:dr

Cliffs: New target 14 weeks to lose 38.8lbs, 20st - 22st 10 = £10 per lb, 22st 10 - 24st 11+  = £20 per lb

Lee, can you update OP accordingly please.

Please, Please periodically remind me of this target as I cannot afford to let myself slip. I will probably weigh in fortnightly to make sure i keep ticking over.

Got there with half a pound to spare.

Starting weight: 15st 5lb 1/4
End weight: 13st 13lb 1/4

Weight loss: 20lbs bang on.

Chuffed to bits. I have thoroughly enjoyed this thread and well done to all my fatty brothers for taking part. In particular Simon Galloway and Girgy, who been real heroes in completely different ways.

My body weight has always fluctuated as an adult, I was about 19st when I was 19, went down to 15st, then at 23 I took a real interest in working out (and getting laid) and was 13st 7 for about 3 years, then came poker and I slowly put it all back on. I can honestly say this was the easiest, most natural way I have lost weight, and rarely did I ever feel deprived or massively tempted to binge. This was partially down to hard work, a lot down to the accountability this thread/bet created, but I can honestly say that the biggest single reason it came naturally this time was simply because I reduced the amount of bread/starchy carbs I eat. Bread, rather than chocolate or crisps, was my trigger food and keeping it to one small portion a day made all the difference. I actually feel I have a shot at keeping it off long term as a result, but in equal measure, realise how one loaf of Hovis could undo all the hard work.

I now have extra motivation as I bought my wedding suit yesterday and I simply wont fit into it if I put the weight back on. Is the next challenge 12 weeks, ie June 3rd? If so, I would like to go back to my original goal of maintaining this for 3 months - so £20 for every pound I am over 14st It will be tough, because I am getting married in New York where they melt cheese on top of salad, but it should be a fun challenge again.

If any fatties are in Notts next weekend, I have my stage do there, gonna be in town and DTD among other things, would love to have a beer/diet coke with ya'll.

Finally - I am thinking it would be fun to add some sort of sporting challenge to phase 2 for all of us. Nothing major, just everyone has to beat some personal best. I am going to have a run around central park (something I always wanted to do) so I might work a challenge into that, if anyone has any suggestions?

Well done Milligan, I think the nipper is a great motivator.

What, pray tell, is a Jersey Shore party?
