starting weight 18 stone 1 lb
week 1 17 stone 7 lb week 2 17stone 3lb week 3 16 stone 13 lb
loss this week 4lb
again ive worked hard, keeping my food intake the same and regular times for my meals is a big thing for me. went circuit training on Wednesday finding that extremely hard but feeling better in my self for doing it.
something else that's helped is my mate Alan is also trying to lose weight and has lost about the same as me. were working away together later this month so hopefully will find a swimming pool or a badminton court !

no update from me in a while, still at 96kg. Gym has been going really well & been eating ok but need to regain focus if i'm going to get down to 90kg any time soon. 1 kg a week for 6 weeks would be great but really need to focus if i'm going to manage that.
How's everybody else doing?
After stopping smoking i've ballooned to 98kg. Started an 8 week program with my mate at the gym so going for 90kg in 8 weeks. lets see how close i get! November 1st & 90kg here i come!

came back from South America feeling massive after all the steak, bread and booze so gotta do something about it.
At 15st 6.6 (heaviest I've been for about 7 years) when I got back last Tuesday, had a massive night out on friday and then a BBQ today so not looking forward to tomorrow's weigh in!
However, I have signed up for a 5km run in November and I'd like to do well as my super-fit dad, Mrs Ruud and my sister are also running it, so not disgracing myself there is a priority.
Also, I'm able to fit in less of my work shirts than ever. I'd really like to get sub 14 stone eventually and 13 dead would be amazing. It's a long road but hoping this thread might help me out......

Good stuff Lee. Good luck Soviet/Ruud. Keep it up Vegas. Need the new lifestyle to be healthy, maintainable and enjoyable otherwise you will have to deal with constant yo-yoing. You guys might want to try this https://www.drmcdougall.com/misc/2011nl/dec/eatmorestarch.htmIt is a challenge to eat 12 slices of bread a day (500-600 calories) and then whatever else you want with it to on average lose 14-19 pounds in 8 weeks if you have it to lose. The idea is that you fill yourself up so much that you eat less fatty foods. Might be worth a pop. Will definitely help with hunger twangs. Would help to get fresh bread from the bakery too without the added vegetable fat, salt, oil and sugar that are unbelievably in most packaged breads like Hovis.

Another pound loss again this week. Not done any gym work but been busy working. Did spend all weekend digging out front garden/taking down walls etc. Dozens of wheelbarrow trips to bottom of garden and back. Snacking on stuff you probs shouldn't eat, but need the intake when working in the garden.
Gonna aim to eat really clean on work days and try and get some sessions in on the bike

Nice work Vegaslover. Are you recording/counting your caloric intake at all or just trying to watch what you eat?

Cheers mtn tbh i've never been one to calorie count specifically, even back in my 20s when I use to abs smash the gym work. Just eating fairly clean atm. Workouts been lacking but moved wards at work so having to do days atm, which basically fk me as I don't sleep that well at night. Usual routine for me is to put in the work in the gym and let the weight loss take care of itself. As the general aim is to lift a decent amount again, as well as decent CV performance, I will re-assess when that is at a decent level. On the upside have been digging out my front garden/taking down walls to make the driveway larger. Constant digging has given me a bit a sore lower back, but doing dozens of wheelbarrow runs with soil/bricks has been pretty good for the upper body.
