Caesars Palace issued a Press Release last night, promoting a "WSOP Warm-Up Series from April 25th to May 4th".
It states quite clearly that it will be held in the Caesars Palace Poker Room......
The Caesars Palace Poker Room features a selection of the most popular poker games including Texas Hold’em, Stud and Omaha. With more than 14,000 square feet, including a 6,000 square foot tournament area and 33 tournament tables, it is the largest poker room on the Strip. More than 20 large-screen high-definition TVs ornament the walls, along with original Leroy Neiman artwork and Neil Leifer photographs. An extensive menu, dedicated cocktail service, and free Wi-Fi, allow players to have food and beverage directly to the tables during play.
...which sounds like it IS the normal room they use.
So maybe that room is not closing? No mention, however, of a series during the WSOP.

Seals the deal then. Seems odd to have a Festival now, & then relocate pre-WSOP, but I guess they know what they are doing, & why.

On the video link put up by Ryan it says that Vegas is making more out of edc / rave type venues / music
so I guess pure nightclub wants more space !!
Such a shame it's always been my favourite poker room

Can anyone recommend a reasonable car hire option for Vegas please?
I use the carrentals.co.uk comparison site, which covers all the major car rental companies including carhire3000.
Never had a problem in 10+ rentals round the world including Vegas.
Good advice thanks I've just booked a Florida holiday with BA , for an SUV they wanted 1350£ for ten days
I used this site and got one for 297£ well pleased ty

Yeah, I noticed that on Skyscanner when Virgin had their sale on.
I did post for Chomps, but he may have been wearing his Eurovision hat and missed it

Finally nailed it down to a few differing hotels which are all within budget. I'm taking the other half for her birthday so want it to be decent but at the same time dont want to pay over the odds got a flight booked leaving 4th November returning on 13th
Mandalay Bay
Paris
MGM
Planet Hollywood
From what I have read on here it seems PH gets the thumbs up.

Paris is the most central location but PH is a bit more laddish. The other two are about an hour's walk to the Venetian

Can't see a problem there, other than the Venetian is near the Wynn. MGM is across the road from The Aria which is nicer than the Venetian anyway and don't think we need to boycott it. Can't say the same for The Venetian.

Most of the bets placed so far seem more like hopeful punts rather than value spots

Just using it as a measure if you're looking at a map of the strip. I think it's a nice place to play cards, although I take your point about the politics.

Not sure what location to the Venetian matters to the guy who is taking his other half on holiday?
Unless she likes the greasy crap they dish out at Noodle Asia

Not sure why I'm in a good mood, because I was on Burton Port a/p @ 20s, and that Hull equaliser cost me £250, but I am
I'm just going to grab some dinner, and then I'll scour the web and see if I can't find you some Wynn or Mandarin Oriental action for a decent price.
