I did have a win over $5K at The Venetian but it was $5500 in a $500+50 tourney so just escaped needing an ITIN.

They did say that if it was necessary for "paperwork" they would process it for me "no problem" as I did enquire before the FT.

That was ~2009.

It changed last year, non of the major hotels will sort it, they just issue you with a declaration form of your winnings then send you packing

Played more Rio tournaments last year as a result.

Nice problem to have, but a problem nonetheless

Some Swedish guys said that Harrahs told them that any of the other Caesars properties would issue them, but they didn't have anyone there to do it.

Further to that, Chris from PHo said that they will issue ITINs on the spot if required.

I’m sure a “ tip” would help

Not at Golden Nugget.   I think you'll find help in a lot of places still.

Yeah, Nugget  are purposely unhelpful.

Main reason I'm not playing their main this year.

Intending to spend a few hours behind it in that 1/2 game this summer, though.

I never knew that bar had a name - it was known as "the hooker's bar" when I first rocked up c1994 and that just stuck.

My favourite watering-hole is the one alongside the Italian restaurant mainly because I got on so well with one of the barmen - a bit like you and Claudes.

We call it the 'centre bar', and it's very much like 'whores bar' at Rio.

Grotto still has a bar on the backside of the restaurant, where you can get cocktails etc. I steer clear of that one, because I can't park the scooter up in front of it Cheesy

I understand. I seem to remember having to either walk up a slope or climb a couple of steps to get to that Italian bar unless you approach via the restaurant.

Great view of the main drag and folk heading out towards Freemont from those barstools though. Smiley

When I first went to Vegas in the 90’s there seemed to be hookers in a lot of the hotel bars, can’t say I’ve really noticed any in the last 10 or so years.....

They must have got fed up waiting for me Andy, although I reckon an end-of-row fruity is still a good bet. Wink

Yeah, that's it. Steps up from the main run from the Carson Tower out onto Fremont Street.

Hoping for some guidance.

I arrive in Vegas on a Sunday evening and want to play WSOP event (collosus) at 10am the next day. I assume I have to buy in at Rio, am I best going Sunday evening or Monday morning? If Monday how early do you get there? With structure, I want to be in at the start....

Help appreciated
