How does a double room @ MGM sound for £460 10 nights 10 - 20th Nov?  Can get that on AlphaRooms with just a £10 deposit.

Not bad at all, but I would probably prefer Planet Hollywood at about the same price, and PHo is also available at about the same price in a few other spots

£497 ebookers (includes free breakfast credit)

£504 expedia   (includes free breakfast credit)

Both ebookers/expedia offer free cancellation until a couple days before you're due to stay, and you pay the first night upfront (refundable if cancelled)

Cheers Marky, PH was also on the list.  Where is is btw?  I see Aladdin on the strip map that now PH?

One and the same. PH is where the Aladdin was.

It has a great set of shops attached to it and a McDonald's underneath. It's a fair walk to Venetian from there (allow 40 mins from your hotel room. The size of Vegas is ridiculous) but you're opposite Bellagio and in a good spot for anything south of there.

Money - I tend to take cash but get myself a Halifax Clarity credit card for the rooms/bigger purchases/emergencies (which I pay off on return) as you get spot rate and no fees when you use it, and no interest assuming you pay off on return.

Mcdonalds under PH?? How did I not know this!

To add to Simon's list:

Reasonably priced lunches etc: Kahunaville (TI) deece cocktails in there. Rain forest cafe (MGM) Cheesecake factory (Ceasars)

I found the Luxor buffet to be very deece and nice price. We had the champagne buffet and i'm sure it was only like $16 each. Buffet at golden nugget is a joke. Avoid!

Steak place upstairs in PH next to the nightclub is actually decent although rather expensive for what it is imo, can't remember the name.

Booked our Grand Canyon helicopter from the UK and used Papillon.  They seemed a bit cheaper than lots of other outfits and I'm not sure they are actually any different. I'm sure everyone ends up at the same place in the airport.  Booked online via smartervegas, got a discount thing, worked out good.

Generally speaking The cheaper deals with any of the companies tend to go from boulder airport a 30 mins drive from Vegas and do not fly down the strip, the higher price ones go from Macarren and include a flight down the strip to finish with. People just need to check precisely what they are booking if a strip flight is important to them.

Looking at this, you probably liked the scran at Chicksands  Roll Eyes

Grand Lux is king of 24 hour dining (imo)

Striphouse is the steakhouse at PHo, and I thought it was very good value myself.

Also quite like PF Changs for a quick chinese at PHo, and the sandwiches are obv deece too.

I'm not a food snob, but I can't get on with buffets myself, even though I'm attempting to turn myself into a fat Stephen Lee.

I'll do a breakdown of some restaurants by type and price later on for you, Lee.

Generally the largest proportion of my money is spent on food too, especially when I used to stay at the Palazzo/Wynn.

The full WSOP schedule is due to be announced by the end of January, in fact we already know the start and finish dates.

Any idea when the other Rooms announce their schedules please, especially Binions, GN, Aria etc?

Yeah Grand lux at Venetian and there is a second one in the Palazzo is the best reasonablly priced dining I have found, eat there a lot when in town. Huge menu also, so would suit most people.

They start trickling in from now, I'll keep an eye on 2p2 for them.
