Having a very frustrating session..

Have a table that aren't folding to preflop aggression, and its a table I can make serious money on if I can make a pair.

I've had QQ a lot, but so far had some crappy runouts.

Im losing a little but it is a good game.

How come you are at poker every night? Got some holiday time off work or something

Yeah off till 4Jan and got 48days leave for next year!! So looking forward to some long live spells.  Would love to go Vegas obv but not looking likely atm.

Just had a big pot with the 'Mo' guy who caused all the contraversy the other night with PJ and the boys..
Peel a suited gapped connector IP vs him and peeled a FD flop.
Bet big on the flushing turn and shoved a board pairing river 8 for a massive overbet.

He takes close to 10mins.. He's talking trash and shouting at me while I've got my iPod in listening to some Ibiza clubbing tunes.
He dances around, stands up and sits down a few times.. Even leaning over with drink in hand, so much he's almost sideways on the table, his head in the pot.
board is 842dd 8o

After god knows how long and how much random craptalk.  (im fairly sure he just had a 9)  and shows a and folds.

Shame.. Clearly isn't folding much to me, even when I bet 200 into 65.  Nevermind.

Back to the grind then, previous to that I'd lost big aipf to AK with QQ, and 'Mo' spent the previous 20mins to the hand above constantly congratulating him on such a 'well played hand, take the guys money and run'

To say he is bad for the game and his deliberately trying to tilt people is an understatement.

I am recording any pots you and Mo get in next time I play, whole table was laughing whilst John sat there trying to be as stoical as possible with his glaringly obvious monster haha.

Thought you played decent tonight though, definitely took away some spots from me at least (y)

Really happy with the way I played tonight...

[ ] Won money
[X] feel like I won money

I had a few big pots..

I'll do them in memory order, not necessarily chronological

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. QQ vs AK aipf
there's £4 raise MP1 from 'Mo' and a flat from player1, I then squeeze to £27 because Mo thinks I'm tilted as he has been trying to do so with his language and demeanor.. either way, he likes playing flops and won't fold a lot.  Then the £27 gets flatted by player2 (decent reg) and player3 (recreational) and back around to Mo.  Who shocks everyone and folds..  Then player1 reshoves for £180.

I've played a lot with player1 over the last two weeks and know he never has AA/ KK here so its only AK and <JJ.  I obviously rejam as there is plenty of dead money in there and would rather not take QQ's 3 way with an A getting a decent price.  IF someone else has JJ behind they may well call it off but they are unlikely to have AA/ KK either imo.

We run it once and he wins.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2. There is the hand I previously posted where I make a flush vs Mo and overshove river.. turns out he rivers trips with K8o.. and after the 10mins he folds the K8 face up (i didn't see this) so clearly I could've gotten a normal value bet paid off.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3. QJcc vs A8cc
I open QJ in EP when 6 or 7 handed and get flatted IP by a 'wannabe hero' that I know well from the 'old days' and we've had lots of tussles over the years.  I 'think' I've come out on top more than he has but I really can't be sure, needless to say he thinks I'm still the same player I was and therefore imho completely under-estimates my game these days.  I flop a FD and the plan for the hand will be to cbet, cr (bluff) or cbet (made flush), in order to bomb (bluff) or cshove (value) rivers. - vs this particular opponent with this dynamic.

We turn a floosh and then cbet again, little big but not over 3/4 pot.  He calls pretty quickly and we snap check a brick river...

He bets pretty big, like I know he will with all bluffs/ floats/ two pairs and set type hands.. and flushes obv.

I check/shove as planned and he snaps....

ouch. there goes a bi.

Real shame as he would snap me there with so many hands, never giving me credit for a flush... there was 'something' in his eye on the turn when he called but I still don't think I fold even if I think he has a flush because I just have such a good one. Sad
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

4. Raise   4 handed.
Get a peel from a decent reg and see a flop

I cbet little large, he calls

I cbet pretty big again to set up big river bets.. he calls

pretty decent bink but something didn't feel right about a massive bet.. so I went just over halfpot and he took a long time to call with J10.

Cheesy

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

5.  Peel   BTN vs a MP raise to 3 or £4..

Flop

Its 5 ways and the guy with the AK earlier leads out for a single £5 chip and a a comment about how one of the players only has 4x £1 chips and he will have to "break a tower".  His lead is NEVER tp or better here.  It is called between us and I peel the button in order to use him like a fulcrum in order to make other people fold better hands later.

We take turn 3 way and turn

Now I have the best hand all the time and he checks, the other guy checks and I make a big bet.. he calls and t'other guy folds..

River

He checks and I decide to go small to medium-ish in order to get value from any   two spades type hand he donked with.  He will sometimes have J10 here and cr but definitely not all the time.. and I can clearly have it too.

He shoves for £140 more into a 140ish pot...

I take a few minutes and sigh-fold.

Kinda the plan bro, but tbh we forgot to share the profits in the car home.. and clearly you felting the driver and making him tilt-quit probably wasn't the best collusion strategy.

Try harder next time please.

I can't possibly win enough in that game to cover your losses, sorry.

Any hands where you check call with the nuts on the river? Already backdoored a straight and told me all about it, almost folded the JTdd too, unbelievable scenes Geoff

Why can he NEVER have Aces or kings?

He doesn't have AA or KK because this player knows the table and the £4 will often go all the way around when I dont play the pot.  He would never take that risk, esp with him noticing how much I've tightened up recently.

Take that and him looking at the £80 in the pot, he will be shoving any A10+ and any pair.

Live reads ftw

Getting abso-crushed tonight its a joke.

Funny part is I dont think I can play any better, couple of local heroes to my left so obv I've adjusted my opening ranges.

Still had second set under turned gutty, 3outed twice.. And got only the shortstack in when two players had tp to my set.

Going to keep plugging away for a bit because im a hero. But at this rate we will be back to -ve $$.
