I was just wondering with all these nights off work is there any mileage in giving C a call.

She won't answer the phone, and I dont want to invade the family home.

Not a lot I can do.
sigh.... Ok mate was just a thought. Chin up and win the world instead gl.

Fairly sure she doesn't read this anymore.. But I do want to speak to her a lot. I know we have a lot of shared friends, but im not going to sour any of those relationships by using them.
Maybe she needs time, maybe it won't ever matter to her.

Won a little back but still losing and still playing as good as I can I think.

Made someone fold QQ by the river.
UTG open, 3bt from a tightish player playing 250, I peel  two hearts and can't resist the spot. Ranges are messed up because the UTG has been caught opening suited crap over the last two weeks A LOT.

Cold 4ball, corner pocket. From my btn.

UTG folds and i get a slow peel.

FLOP

he checks, I cbet, he takes an age and calls.

TURN

Pretty good turn card imo, I dont think he is check shoving here, but in case and for 'river honesty' I check back to find my flush!

RIVER
 Two Clubs

We've made a pair but I dont think its good.... Cheesy

He checks and I take 10secs before setting him in for just under pot.  He painfully folds QQ and I smile while all the regs shout 'snapp you off with a 3 mate'

Felt nice and with my nitty (losing but still nitty) image tonight I just knew it was getting through..

Also, just won a pot with 5 high.

Despite playing like a nit the whole night..

my UTG open gets 3bt by J4o, the 4bt peeled, and call/called on a QJxx runout for 350bbs.

No soft money in poker.

Wasn't classy, really upset with myself. Obviously frustrated I can't seem to get paid when I've had value hands.. And even when I have the very top of my range I just get lol peeled by air, which then hits.. Coz it's easy to make pairs apparently.

So bipolar about the whole thing.

I know I dont deserve anything in poker.. I know there is no justice, I know that I work so hard and I am being rewarded..

But to get responses like "you've never jammed for value, a J is obv good". Frustrates and just clicks the right buttons.

Outside with a faceful of cold water... Starting to get cold now but I deserve that.

Deep breaths.

Flop a flush vs the same 34cc and J4o 'hero' and obv he's flopped a flush too (lower).. with someone who folded having also flopped a lower flush than mine...

Turn - diamond.

One crucial difference in Live and Online poker is that, whereas it's often slightly easier to play live, your bigger mistakes in live poker will get punished a lot harder, cos you're much deeper and dealing with a totally different dynamic of play. Good focus is effectively one of the most crucial elements for live play imo.

Don't wanna be like a broken record but its so important, you CANT lose your head in deepstacked live cash games like Pleno said before you do more damage in a 45min period tilting off than you can make up for in 4 and a half hours playing well. You don't force action the action has to force you.

but why would you barrel qjx in a 4bet flop? hes never folding turn/river.

even cold 4betting a2s sound like huge huge fancy play syndrome and just no need.
