On the poker side though....
From what I can remember, the following hands made us win a lot of money.
First hand at the table

Open to $22 over a straddle cos we is a boss, forgot to sit short for the first orbit.. but this time it worked for me.
FLOP

check, check, we cbet $35 and get three callers..
TURN
check, lead for $55, we ship all in for the remainder of our $400 buyin, tank fold behind and call from the leader...
He has

, and we do a hold for an instant double up.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You know those 'good' sessions where you just 'know' and feel good the entire time and you know you're always going to win in these sessions, right from the start?
Well this was one of those!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Then bleed $250 raising pre and check folding a lot...
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Open

over a straddle again and go 3 ways, get to a

flop - cbet, call, call.
See a

and cc a shortie shove of $125 into 300 (he's a little crazy and could literally have any pair or draw.
We bink the mighty Q ball and win against Q9o
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
THE BIG ONEThis however is the reason we won a lot of money... the 'villain' in the hand is the guy who invited us over to the home game, Eduardo. He's a really nice guy and I'm really close in retrospect as to whether I like this hand or not.
I open

utg over a straddle and get about 6 callers or something insane.
FLOP

checks to me, I check, checks round.
TURN

checks to me, I check, checks to button (Ed) and he bets $200 into about the same amount..
In this spot I think he has Jx 100% of the time, clearly we beat a lot of the Jx hands he has, but also I think our hand isn't strong enough to call, cc river.
With the hand playing out how it has, I know he will fold AJ/ one paired hands all the time if I shove here, and he NEVER checks back a set on that flop. So his hand is sometimes flush draws (rare), Jx and occasionally 'spew'/ want to take it down cos its been checked twice.
We shove for $823 and he takes a long time... asks me if i have trips? I say, honestly "I have the best hand mate, i'm sure of it... you'd have already called with better".
There is no angle here, that's what I thought, I like him and I don't mind if he calls or not.
He makes a comment about how he knows im not ool here ever and he thinks I have trips... at which point I start to wonder if he just turned J7/ J4 or something... (clearly he isn't folding that).
And he tank calls it off saying "its a donation John, I'm sure of it.."
And tables J7.
Woooops....

thank you very much... please ship the $2k over here Mr. Dealerman.
I commiserate Ed, get him a drink and he says he called because he thought I would have

a chunk... He was right, good read.
Nice bink and we gots some moneys.... best of all though is we now have a LOT of chips, and begin building my first ever 5wide based chip pyramid!
she had 3 storeys and lots of colours!
pic to follow when I get home (it has casino name in the pic).
We win a few small pots after and finish the session with just shy of $2800, in for 500. gd times.
I cash out and find the leicester guy 'Ricki' in the lobby just going up into the club in the casino and his cousin the guy with all the connections comes over and says for me to come out with them. I'm wearing my 'Sesame Street' green tshirt, cargos and pacman flip flops!
We get upstairs even though they have a strict shoe policy and then the 'goose' and mixers start flowing cos theyve got some bottles already on the go. I manage to resist but the mocktails and the redbull kept me going!
