Giro update, more crashes yesterday means Aru now leads Contador by 19 seconds. our man Uran is 2 mins and 2 seconds back, with Porte losing more time yesterday and now 5 mins and 5 seconds back. Today is individual time trail day, which should suit Uran and Porte. Aru is a weak time trialist but given how strong he has looked i don't think he'll lose the chunks of time he did on a similar stage last year. Contador will be compromised by his shoulder injury, so it's not ideal for him. Uran's been struggling for form all tour so hard to see him absolutely crushing it, which was the hope pre-tour. Porte will go all out to try and salvage something, but he's a long way back now, difficult for him to get in the mix. Today will tell if we have a bit of a sweat on the overall win, or just looking for him getting on the podium for the e/w money.

Good bet imo. By me reckoning they finished fourth in Tuesday's semi, behind Russia, Belgium and Estonia. And I'd say Tuesday semi-final was stronger than Thursday's.

Yes seems a logical bet to me with the offer as well.  VUL not to win the derby last year.  Stays all day and has as good a chance as any in the field.  Wouldn't be averse to adding it to the portfolio for a pony to take advantage of the offer.
