I'm not sure we should be having too many bets based on the forecast.

I was with the bobby1 and the Bet365 golf team on Weds and they were loaded up with these funky weather apps.

When we met in the morning they had one strategy based on the weather forecast, by the time we went our different ways that evening  the forecast was completely different and so were the players they wanted to get.

Just checked the weather forecast and Saturday looks pretty grim through right up until 6 now.

i suppose the idea is that anyone teeing off after 4pm today has to play more than 18 holes in it tomorrow

I really don't know.  If Saturday is fairly unplayable too, might there be a possibility of them just playing 9?  I assume as it is a major that they would extend to Monday and do 4 days in preference to calling it a day at 3?  I don't know the answer and the bet is on anyway.  I don't really mind the bet, just interested in the possibilities.

Morning Tighty.

We got a bit lucky yesterday as I only go anytime try scorer when I expect the team to score 4 tries or more and Warrington only got 2 yesterday. For tonight's superleague bet I am going for the Wigan v Widnes match, which Wigan should win as Widnes away form is dismal. Wigan are limited in the creativity department, I have Matty Smith as my most over rated player, and I find them very predictable. However the area that they are good at is the centre channel using Liam Farrell, and it is him I am going to suggest we back to score anytime.

Suggest £10 Liam Farrell @ 7/4 with Ladbrokes.

It sounds like they are determined to try and get them round tonite, stoppages permitting.

Surely gives a massive advantage to those playng now, as I wouldn't want to be playing in the shadows at 9pm tonite, even if its still.

Think they might switch to 3 balls tomorrow, that'll save a lot of time.

Whether it can finish by Sunday night remains a doubt, though.

If they only finished round 2 tomorrow it would be a huge advantage for today's finishers.

They only suspended this morning because of exceptionally heavy rain, there is no rain forecast for tomorrow.  The only reason they would suspend play would be if balls were moving on the greens.  I don't think that it will be windy enough for that tomorrow, it wasn't in 2010 and it was very windy then.

VCdon'tbet have their League 1 top scorer market up now.

Mbn to put out a 250% book and have every chance of not even having the winner quoted.

VC traders, we know you're watching...

Scuy have gone 14-1 Ross McCormack in the Champo, which is around what I was hoping for.

Aston Villa have lost

Vlaar
Delph
Cleverly
Benteke

the spine of the team, a lot of the goals and the best defender

obviously sherwood can recruit to replace, though the ownership situation of the club remains unresolved

any interest in 4-1 to go down....?

a promoted club stays up and we might have a run at it?

I don't know how to assess if that's value, but they were fortunate to survive last season with, as you note, a far better team, add in the Sherwood factor, & they might just seriously struggle.

Given left as well as those 4 who started plenty of games in goal last season as well.  I backed them yday at 9/2.  Couldn't put you off taking the 4/1.

Well, they have £40m to spend first.

Andros Townsend and Adebayor have been strongly linked with moves (the latter is an issue over how much of his wages spurs pay). If Llorente and Moses come, I expect both of those deals to happen.

Villa have just brought in a Sporting Director from arsenal, which I assume is to oversee and sort out transfers.

If they improve the squad properly, 4/1 isn't much fun, is it?

That said, they're unlikely to be top half this season, so there's likely to be a sweat for a while.
