Ecuador reward world faith by beating Argentina 2-0 away last night in first round of wc qualifying...

With paraguay surprisingly beating venuzela away the south American section looks to be even tougher than it already was.

I am intrigued by world faith, what is that about.  Fairly sure Paraguay knocked one of the big guns out of Copa America (think it was Brazil?). Are they going to do a Wales and fly up the world rankings?  If so what price should they be for the World Cup.   Going to check results prices...

Edit. It was Brazil...And then they got tonked by Argentina 6-1.  Maybe duck that one then.  Next...

Most of the bets placed so far seem more like hopeful punts rather than value spots

Lumiere staying with Mark Johnston next year, which is good news for our 1000 Guineas punt on her, Bin Suroor would have ruined her!

I know Fred can't get on, but for other interested parties Scuy go 1.8 on over 5.5 180s for MvG tonight.

The semis are best of 7 legs and even if he wins 4-0, I think this bet should be more 1.4-1.5ish. MvG is a monster 180 hitter and tends to play better when under more pressure. He hit 5 I think last night in a completely one sided affair Vs Jamie Lewis in best of 5 set format, so would expect him to hit minimum 8 tonight.

I missed cup next to world Sad

Paraguay have been useless for a while good to see them possibly back. Always competitive could be even more so..

World Grand Prix Darts - 1/4 Final Night

All about the Suljovic express again please Tighty.

He is playing Vincent Van Der Voort who beat a very under-par Terry Jenkins last night. However, looking at the week's stats so far reveals that Mensur is comfortably outscoring and crucially out-doubling (if that is a word?) him.

Rd 1 Averages and Double %:

Suljovic : 93.23 and 70%
Van Der Voort : 90.14 and 33.33%

Rd 2 averages and double % :

Suljovic : 91.34 and 64.29%
Van Der Voort : 86.23 and 40.91%

Mensur is best priced at 1.91 according to oddschecker http://www.oddschecker.com/darts/world-grand-prix/mensur-suljovic-v-vincent-van-der-voort/winner

Suggest £25 Mensur Sulovic to beat Vincent Van Der Voort

What an amazing match. Van Der Voort hit absolutely everything in the first set and stormed into a 2-0 lead in the second. He then missed, to be polite, several shots at double and Mensur came from nowhere to win the leg.

Suljovic then went on to win the next 7 consecutive legs to lead 2-1 in sets and 2-0 in the 4th. Vincent Van der Voort misses three darts at double with Suljovic sat on 170 and our hero duly obliged with the maximum out-shot to win the match 3 sets to 1. An absolute collapse from VdV but every credit to Suljovic - he deliberately slowed his game down to wind his opponent up and it clearly worked.

He now plays Thornton in the semis - let's see his price tomorrow and re-evaluate.

Wow, well done (again) Hutch, thank you.

 thumbs up

Pretty tough to get a more competitive heat of a major sporting event than this with no handicapping!

Good grief, that's quite something.

2 matches from the football league I like the look of tomorrow:

1. Bury vs Wigan, Bury to win @ 13/8 with bet365.

Bury, 3rd in League 1, have won all of their last 6 games in the league, are unbeaten in their last 8 and have only lost once this season, on the 2nd weekend nearly 2 months ago, whilst been the 2nd highest scoring team. Their opponents, Wigan, have also had a decent enough start putting them 9th in the table, but have only managed one win in their last 5 matches, which came against 2nd bottom Fleetwood Town. 13/8 for the Bury win looks very enticing.

2. Luton vs York, Luton to win @ 21/20 with bet365.

Luton are one of the form teams in League 2 after a slow start, having won their last 4 matches and 5 of their last 6, and haven't lost at home since August. They are the leagues top scorers with 21 goals, and have scored 7 in their last 2 games. York, sitting 18th out of 24, haven't won since the first match in September, where they beat a poor Newport side who are rock bottom. Their defence doesn't look great, conceding 2 goals in 4 of their last 5 matches, and it should once against against Luton's ability to score. This is being offered at around evens or just under by most firms, with the best price on 365. Could possibly suggest Luton -1 Handicap @ 12/5 aswell given the previous points.

Bury lost 1-0 at home to Morecambe on Tuesday to get knocked out of the JPT  though I assume they played a weakened line up. Either way doesn't really mean much just figured I'd put it out there!
