A couple of things about the Man U bets: it's slightly better to back the double chance of West Brom/Draw if you can get on at 888 or Unibet at 3.65, but not by much. Smarkets would be a better place to lay because it's only 2% commission so you'd win £98 of the £100 lay stake, for the same liability.

Also, if you want to back 0-0, remember to try for no first goalscorer instead.

Just noticed I was the second most profitable tipster in October and I've been knocked out of the quiz in the first round. My entire world view is on its arse.

I'm going to witness the carnage tomorrow, so I'm hoping to be proved wrong on this but, on current form, Altrincham are way too big a price at home to Barnsley tomorrow, with prices ranging from 4/1 to 24/5 depending on where you bet, according to Oddschecker.

Barnsley are currently on their worst league losing streak since the late 1950s, having now lost 7 games in a row in League One.  The manager (sorry, Head Coach) is proving himself to be inept and adopting a policy of changing formation every game whilst playing players out of position, and a sizeable element of the away support will be half-hoping for the worst tomorrow as it will surely make his position untenable.

Player confidence is as low as I've ever seen it, and it's the youngest squad in the Football League with injuries to key players (Conor Hourihane in particular is doubtful for the game).  Altrincham, in contrast, are hovering above the relegation spots in the Conference but currently unbeaten in 4 games.

On balance we should still be favourites for the game, but not by as much as the prices suggest.  There's definite value to be had.

I've had some of the 5/1 from 364 if Fred wants some of that

Tighty tell us what it's like supporting Leicester at the moment. It must be just insane. They won 7, lost 2 of the last 9 games last year and have won 6, drawn 4 and lost 1 this year.
So W13, , L3 over the last 20. I'm guessing that makes them the top team in the country over the last half season +1 games (20 games).
Vardy? He just looks incredible at the moment. The pace and confidence. Mahrez looks like the best player in the country, what's Ranieri up to by benching him a couple of times? It's about his defensive liabilities, I guess?
You must be dreamland watching this every week?

Fantastic. Mahrez doesn't track back and quite often leaves the right back exposed. So he was tried in the hole behind vardy but is bit congested there. He is better taking on men out wide. We have such pace and counterattacking ability. Teams come on to us and get punished. Kante is our best player, a n unfashionable makakele type player. Breaks down attacks and allows the flair players to break. If vardy, mahrez, kante get injured our season changes. For now, all good enjoying it while it lasts

What are your, and other Leicester fans, expectations for the season? At the start, staying up but now? Are you looking for Europe? Do you think you might take a £20m+ offer for either Vardy/Mahrez in January?

Get to 40 points. Nothing has changed. Maybe invest in January if something unprecedented looks possible. Both vardy and mahrez are under contract til 2018. I think neither go in Jan. Mahrez to me looks like an arsenal player. Possibly psg etc, and would be at risk of gong next summer for a big price. Remember he was bought for 400k and is only 25. The big story not talked about is our scouting network eaded by Steve Walsh who was Chelsea's chief scout 2003-05 (drogba, essien etc) and is a huge legacy of Pearson's managerial stint.

Do you have a dormant "Racebets" account? If so, be warned......

(Tighty - I never realised we had this account with £200 in it. Do we still need it? Do you know the Password/Username, if so, please do a token log-in)

It sort of pisses me off a bit when they pull these stunts - it seems almost illegal to me.

"Login now to avoid the debit of a dormant-account fee

Dear Tony,

We noticed that you did not login to your RaceBets account during the last 13 months. Please be advised that you still have a balance of GBP 200.00 in your account.

As our terms & conditions clearly state, we charge a monthly 'dormant-account fee' to members who leave funds in their RaceBets.com account, but no longer login. In this instance, you will be charged a fee of GBP 4.00 starting from 01/01/2016. However, the fee charged will never exceed your remaining account balance.

We want you to avoid being charged any fees so, please login to your RaceBets.com account as soon as possible".
