First tip gets on automatically, folks. Even if it's WWE, dancesport, bandy, the Booker Prize, SuperMarioBros, Madonna's microphone colour or even, dare I say it, "the @rsenil".

Thank you to everyone who's given Fred and everyone else a present this year.

A quick potential Xmas present for you.

Our friends at Betting Emporium have made a case for a long priced punt on tomorrow's King George.

The article is free to view at BE, here.....

How much do you want on for Fred?

Fifties is still available. Having got on for myself, I don't know how much more they'll lay me. Say what you would like as the max and I'll see what the Bank of Patrick has to say.

Very kind of you to offer Posh Bloke, thank you.

I'd best not suggest we get on until others chime in & say "yeah, it looks like a decent recommend", but if they do, yes, we'll ask you if you can get on for us.

I should add that I had a small off-thread dabble myself already. It's actually, as far as I can recall, the first "off-thread" bet I have had in 2015 except for a few bets suggested to me privately by friends. I lost a bit of betting mojo, combined with being so busy Next Door, but I'm in a funny mood today, so had a little dabble.

Rivers threw for 277 last night in the relocation bowl

Rivers 4564
Brady 4405
Palmer 4277
Brees 4135

Rivers with one game remaining, the others two. Brees is playing through plantar fasciitis, which apparently would mean lesser men wouldn't be walking.

realistically we need Brady pulled out of a game in a blowout to have a chance of scooping...

as it stands Tal, we wouldn't do PP

Betfred, betvictor, sportingbet is 1,2,3 1/4 50/1

PP is 1,2,3 1/5 50/1

I've had enough for some vegas flights on it. Man's gotta dream, right?

Can we do 50 e/w Cue Card too?  Quarter first 3 is good.  Agree with Neil on the first two.  Think the place part is particularly good due to the number of outsiders in the field.

Of course we should back Neil's too.  He is the best, though obviously a bit too pessimistic on the wonderful Cue Card.

Merry Christmas all.

I've got a fishy fiver on Cue Card to do the treble, so won't be too disappointed if he wins.

I would prefer Don Cossack, so I'm freerolling my flights to Vegas.

Happy Christmas, Fredites!

The traffic profile of Sports Betting firms is really weird at Xmas.

Traffic drops away a few days prior, MNF was the last "big" event, yesterday & Wednesday was mainly Greyhounds, Basketball, Darts, that sort of stuff, very small compared to Football & Horse Racing of course.

Today, zilch, very little indeed.

And then....tomorrow.......HUGE traffic, one of, if not the, biggest punting days of the year. Big online poker day, too.

The Christmas hurdle seems an interesting each way race.  Heavy odds on favourite plus 2 reasonably strong horses and two who are probably not good enough.  I think The New One should be very close to evens to get in the first two.  The 2.3 something on Betfair looks a bit big, but a few bookies are 7/4 the place (7/1 and a quarter first 2).  Maybe he never quite made the top and Faugheen looks a machine, but we really lose little on the win vs Betfair and the place terms more than make up for it.  I think this must be worth 25 each way too.

For those who get it, the each way double Cue Card (4/1 and quarter odds first 3) and The New One (7/1 and quarter first 2) is obviously worth a few quid too, as you a doubling up the generous place terms.

Do you not attach any significance to the fact that the stable jockey has freely chosen to ride Old Guard rather than TNO?

<edit> Obv not stable jockey to his dad any more but pretty sure he had the choice.
