In Wijk aan Zee, Caruana has a difficult position against Russian champion,Tomashevsky.
Ding tried an assertive line against Carlsen's Ruy Lopez to spring a surprise on the world champion. It hasn't really paid off, though, and he now faces the prospect of a long defense, if Magnus wants to play for a while. Not losing by any means, but Carlsen makes his name by converting tiny edges in endgame positions.
The people who can catch Ding if he loses are level in their games and draws for So and Giri would make Ding's result academic; we would get third.
Games and commentary are here:
https://chess24.com/en/watch/live-tournaments/tata-steel-chess-masters-2016/13/1/1
Ding is in a drawn position now of King and Rook versus King, Rook and Bishop, but Carlsen is playing on. There are two reasons for that: firstly, he has no risk of defeat, so what's the harm in playing on? Secondly, he can see that Caruana is losing, so can wait for a bit to see whether that game finishes soon, which saves him hanging around.
Carlsen did this with Anand in the World Championship and drew some hilarious criticism by not accepting a draw.
Our man should hold and we should get our 7/2 shot home.

That's correct. Carlsen will win the tournament.

Any one been watching the SENIORS SNOOKER or have any views on it? Its a very fast format and they all seem to play as good/bad as each other from what i have seen.
Anyone got any love for Jimmy White at 12/1 ? Or for any of the others

Watched 20 minutes of the McLoed v Bond game. Can't watch any more of that event.
Good luck, though.

There are a few up already. Winner have one: "Winner of coin toss wins the match". So that is literally a coin toss market.
Pricing it up at 17/20 each side. Can't be too careful.

Most boring superbowl halftime show ever?
Yes 1/20
No 14/1
Will someone be shown on screen yawning?
Yes 1/50
No 25/1
Could be a good double there.

we could collectively draw up a shortlist for the two likely markets (these were up but empty on oddschecker last week)
a) what song will coldplay start with
b) what song will coldplay end with
"Stars" ?
"Paradise"?
"Fix you" somewhere in the middle?
"clocks?" "yellow"?
when they play on tour, what are their encore songs?

Oddschecker says sky has a Highest Checkout, Most 180s and winner treble in this game, too.
Think there may be an error somewhere...

This seems a good place to start and probably finish

Considering i just found that in 30 seconds on google i am sure even the lol compilers can do similar. Maybe worth hanging on discussing the findings till everyone is priced up?
