we have Arsenal and Man Cto win the FA Cup

Arsenal received their 250th consecutive home draw in the cup, v Hull C.

Man C away at Chelsea, who are unbeaten in 9 and reinvigorated under our 16-1 shot

at least our two bets avoided each other

Met Police cancel all leave, I assume.

Spurs, Arsenal, Watford and Chelsea all at home.

Evening Tighty.

There are a couple of tennis tournaments of interest this week. At Sofia I am opposing our recent hero, Mr Troiki, with the favourite Bautista Agut. He is 7-2 with paddy power and betfred.

The other interesting tournament is at Montpelier. The French have a great record here, it is just playing away where they seem to have problems. In the top half of the draw I think that Gilles Simon is the most likely winner, but I am a fan of Sousa and he could have a good week. I am going to suggest we oppose the favourite, Cilic, in the bottom half of the draw with another French player, Bennoit Paire.

Suggest Bautista Agut  £15 win @ 7-2 with Betfred at Sofia.

Montpelier. Gilles Simon £15 win @ 5-1 with Coral
                 Bennoit Paire £5 e/w @ 14-1 with Ladbrokes.

http://www.oddschecker.com/e-sports/league-of-legends/team-liquid-v-team-impulse/winner

team impulse still having to play with different substitutes, one of their players has now played three different positions already this split
17/20 with ladbrokes is a steal.
8/15 with skybet would be what I think the price would be

lol hungover and dont know if anyone has done, but i meant team liquid lol

Team Liquid just won

As I know how much tikay loves a crosstable (that feels like a Tom O'Connor joke, but maybe just to me...if you remember Crosswits, you've probably just shown your age. I loved that show...)

Anyway, the crosstable:

The Carlsen-Ding match was a whopping 99 moves long, where the average game is around the 40 move mark. That's each player, by the way. When we talk about the number of moves a game has in it, when white does something and black does something afterwards, that is one move.

Several hours later...

"Oh go on then. You've earned a draw"

Ding finished joint second because Caruana lost. They'll split second and third prize money as a result, I expect.

Picture gallery for today: http://www.tatasteelchess.com/tournament/gallery/year/2016/gallery/r13-

I particularly liked this picture of one of the side events. A real range of ages on display.

You'll be delighted to learn that's it for this tournament, so normal, non-chess service will be resumed shortly. £60 profit for Fred, after deduction of the speculative tenner on Ding Liren to win overall. As it turned out, had he beaten Carlsen, he would have won the event. That would have been a very nice 17/1 bink.

It's a shame he's not qualified for the Candidates in March, although it has probably come too soon for him in fairness.

For anyone who can and is quick. Brandt Snedeker has just posted a stunning round to get in the clubhouse at the Farmers Insurance Open at -6. The leaders are currently -7 and only going one way (clue, they're not making birdies). All prices above Evs should be snaffled. Could see the nearest coming in at -4 quite easily.

It should end tonight unless the wind starts blowing the balls of the greens (again). He's already odds on across the board. The 10/11 with Hills still fair though.
