That special is derived from the 1989 earthquake that happened whilst the World Series baseball was live on TV.

Current Barnsley manager, Lee Johnson, is the hot favourite to get the vacant Bristol City job. This has baffled most of the Barnsley fanbase as, despite a recent upturn in form which should see him named League One Manager of the Month for January, many fans are still unconvinced by him after he previously led us to a club record equalling 9 consecutive league defeats and an FA Cup exit to Altrincham.
Normally, there'd be a hint of a rumour surrounding odds like this (he's currently 1/2 with BetVictor) but no-one close to BFC seems to have any solid reason for giving any credibility to this. The only assumption is that there's been some money placed local to the Bristol City side, but it still doesn't seem credible to me.
The upshot of all this is that everyone else in that market represents value to me, particularly current incumbent caretaker manager John Pemberton at 3/1. From a quick look on the Bristol City fans forum, most fans seem to think he should be given the job until the end of the season and there's not much enthusiasm for LJ, other than a few people saying they wouldn't mind him coming if it happened.
I've just tried to put £50 on him with BetVictor, but got restricted to £25, so am recommending the same here.
£25 on John Pemberton at 3/1 for next Bristol City manager with BetVictor.
Obviously, the same value applies to other managers on the list (e.g. Neil Warnock at 14/1) so take a peek. The odds on LJ are distorting the market and I don't see enough evidence to justify why at this point.
As an aside, I'm not his biggest fan, so if he ends up going and we get paid compensation for this then I'm equally happy. As long as one of the other names doesn't get the job, then this is as close to a win/win bet as I'll get.
Edit: FWIW, Pemberton is still showing at 8/15 on Corals. They're the only one with him as favourite, but I think that's more like it.

Brizzle have just made some good signings. Why would they want to screw it all up by getting Lee Johnson in?

Forecast for tomorrow is more 25mph winds. Gone in again personally.
They've started again and it's lovely and breezy.
Leader dropped a shot first hole they played today.
Play was delayed for 2 hours whilst staff dealt with the trees that had blown down across the fairway.

Sadly we got screwed by them stopping play yesterday. Had they have played on, it wasn't even going to be a contest.
