"Omm"

Some of you may have noticed that Omm, one of the nicest regular guys on both Fred, & the Racing Threads, has been AWOL for some time.

He appeared on another (non-sport) thread over the weekend, so I wrote to him to see if he was OK, as he has suffered terribly with nasty health issues for some years.

It seems that he is on the mend now, but has had a quite a tough time, as he had to come off the various medications & painkillers first.

He's achieved that, & is now back at work, got himself a new job, & is going along nicely. For now, he's abandoned poker though, "priorities" & all that.

When things settle down, he says he'll return to Fred, & blonde generally, which he says he enjoyed very much.

That's spooky, as I was actually thinking about Omm yesterday evening, and was going to text Adz to see if he'd spoken to him lately.

Good egg, so glad that things are looking up for him anyway, and hopefully we'll see him back soon.

Odd, I was thinking that too, and I should send a PM.

Glad to hear all is good and things are on the up S thumbs up.

West Ham now best priced 6/4.   Suggest a £10 for interest at this price.

Newcastle sky dogs tonight, only got a quick minute to put a couple up so explanations may be brief for now...

7.26 Ballymac Cathal 8/1 - took some 10s earlier but generally available great price sole wide that led up and beat the 13/8 favourite last week fair and square. Rec £25

7.59 walshes hill 10/11 - arguably best sprinter in the country 10:11 standout with hills will be a 1/2 shot tonight. Rec £110

9.08 blastoff Mccaw 5/1 - not sure if Fred can get on with 5/1 paddys but take + here can see this being second fav later around the 3-1 mark. Flies out and doesn't really stop with the short price in 2 not drawn great and still very green and making mistakes - no doubting it's the fastest dog in the race though and will be a star this year for sure. Rec £40

7.26, confusing, three similarly named dogs 2 at 8-1. stopped myself, double checked and realised i was about to back the wrong one.

Ha just got back and looked at the results, was just coming on to say the same about misclicking!! No good for us bumped 1st crowded 2nd returned 5/1.

Walshes Hill won though and somehow returned 4/5 (wish I was home earlier i'd have been pressing), can't believe it wasn't nearer the 1/2 I said earlier. Proved it should have been though breaking the track record winning by 5 and a half lengths.

One more to run for us in the final at 9.08.

Chinned there everything went to plan except the last 5 lengths! 5/1 returned 3/1 led to near line beat a length.

Turns out our dog in the final has come off a bit sore, which explains why he has been caught by the 5 dog imo, watching his tape last week his action was different on the last 10-15m than last week just tied up a bit sadly.

Shame...but still a nice profit with Walshes Hill, cheers.
