I heard (I think it was Johnny Herbert) on Sky last weekend say that he thinks the Red Bulls might lose up to a second on this long straight in race trim, when the Mercs & Ferraris have got all their dials turned up to eleven.  A second? Blimey

Not sure that this will play out during P1 though.

Should be a good session this, none of the drivers know the circuit so it'll be interesting to see how team mates compare at the end.  Got my eye on Palmer v Magnussen after last week's debacle.

Anyone else thinking that there's nowhere near enough sport on TV this weekend? ;-)

The first ever session at the track just ended, the GP2 practice session. Lots of interesting things learned. One of which is that turn 15 is a real problem. The wind caused numerous cars to go on to the run-off, but the run-off isn't very wide, and it's extremely difficult for drivers to spin the car and get back on track. We saw numerous, very slow, three point turns .. do that in the race, and you're out of contention. There were 14 yellow flags and 3 VSC's in 45 minutes. No red flags though which is good.

To be fair, Johnny is not an engineer, I think that was just his own figure plucked out of the air. That doesn't mean he's not right though. This track is so vast, that a second difference might not actually be a lot. They could gain that back in the first sector which has six 90 degree corners.  In that GP2 session, one second separated 1st and 4th, but none of the drivers are anywhere near the ultimate quickest time yet.

Palmer is not expected to beat Magnussen in Formula One this season. The chaps at Renault are not stupid, they know Jolyon traditionally takes two seasons to get up to speed. It's a long term project.

A fascinating two F1 sessions today, we're seeing a lot of unusual and unexpected things out there.

Needless to say, I will be looking into the betting markets later today. Expect bets up around 9PM UK time Smiley

What a great spot this was, hector, think you recommended Zverez @ 40/1. He is about 4/1 now.

We are still a long shot of course, but a cracking spot, & a good sweat incoming.

i took what betfred would allow

WTA Mallorca Open
Tournament Outright
   Cirstea, Sorana   18/1
Total stake   13.85
Estimated return    263.15
Full stake   13.85
Full estimated return   263.15

Without a match being played in her half of the draw, Cirstea is now best priced 8/1.

Her match against Jankovic will be played not before 6pm but as it is the fourth match on court might be rather later. Her price for this match has shortened considerably too.

And Jankovic is now out to 8/1 in the overalls.  I know we are all on, but it would be kind of funny if Jankovic just tonks her today.

They have just arrived on court.

This is another great Tennis sweat.

I can't watch it from here, but good luck, this would be a right result.

http://www.oddschecker.com/basketball/nba/cleveland-cavaliers-at-golden-state-warriors/winner

Anyone on the flithy EW NBA Cavs at 7/2 ages ago with is down to a final game shoot out on Sunday night 1am on BT sport.

Cavs currently a 15/8 shot to become the first team in 33 attempts to go 3-1 down in the NBA finals history and come back and win the title 4-3.

IN other news Murray obviously through to Queen's semis tomorrow to face former queen's winner Cilic.  1/5 to win tomorrow and will probably face Raonic in the final on Sunday and will be a slightly bigger price for that around the 2/7 mark i would imagine.

As long as Andy doesn't slip over and do his groin this looks in the bag.  I thought he would be shorter than 1/5 v cilic.

At Halle Zverev is way bigger than a 4/1 shot to beat federer and thiem, more like a 10/1 chance.

Why?  Cilic previous winner at Queens, GS winner.  What price would you make him?  Andy hardly hosed up today.

Andy won't off around the 1/7 v cilic a few year ago in the queens final and doesn't lose these kind of matches these days.  Cilic is nowhere near his best form and can't see how he even threatens Murray.   He had zero intensity today and it was played more like a Davis cup practice session. Don't get me wrong cilic is no mug, however, Andy will just target that weak backhand and the errors will flow.  I think the Raonic price is probably spot on 2/7.  Best of luck with your bet but it looks home after the tricky mahut match.

Put up a £500 at 1/5 for TFT then under your name!  Shelling peas!  You always get your first bet accepted as well remember.

Tonking duly administered.
Jankovic won 6-3, 6-3. Cirstea never got going.

I have seen some of your max bet tips turned down at short odds so I doubt this would be accepted.  In my opinion this is a 1/5 shot that he doesn't break an ankle on court.  I'm just thinking about the last time a lower ranked player beat him? Delbonis took him out in the states but apart from that I don't recall any defeats of late.
