Lads are out of line on Griffin Benger at 10/1 which I think is too generous for the best player in the field and he's quickly stacking up televised poker appearances in the GPL.
Rec £50 Griffin Benger at 10/1
big price that
they'd lay us £2, so unless anyone else can help its a watching brief i am afraid

As mentioned in the other thread by others, I think we should be looking to get with Sheff Weds this season if they secure Abdi. He's one of those players that is far too good for Championship but perhaps lacking quite enough for Premier League (although he made 30 appearances for us last season). Wednesday also have a solid playoff squad already in place before additions. If he stays fit he'll control that team from centre midfield like he did for Watford in the 2013 and 2015 seasons (he was injured most of 2014 when Watford finished midtable).
Newcastle look so strong I imagine it is the promotion odds that will be the sensible one, but I wanted to open it up for debate.
Abdi not comfirmed yet but flew home early from pre-season tour to discuss terms.
apart from Wednesday, in a market that is 15/8 10-1 bar the favourite paying 3 spots...
who else is interesting for the place spots?
derby?
norwich?
brighton?
villa?
wolves with the new owner?
what about down the list. big improvers might be?
fulham?
leeds?
huddersfield?
i count 8 clubs with parachute money, and of the 24 teams no more than 5-6 i'd rule out so its a very competitive heat as usual?

Out of the other Championship teams I think Norwich are too big at 10-1. Are they really that much worse than Newcastle? The Canaries just seem a really well run club who don't have mega stars but build the squad season on season. I can see them being really consistent.
Of the longer shots I quite like Wigan to build on their positive season last time at a cheeky 14-1 to back up and win promotion (will have to likely be via playoffs of course).
If I was putting a portfolio together it would be
Norwich outright
Wigan and Sheff Wed promotion
But of course all the usual concerns about tying up money for 9 months.

thanks
not so worried about time value of money at £15-30-£50 at 10-1+. its £300-500 at 4/7 that puts a strain on running the thread given account balances are lowish these days
We have a few Brighton fans on here. After the play offs and getting so close to auto promotion last year, are they set to kick on again?

I've been keeping an eye on Billy Horschel this season and his form has been improving. He started well in The Open Championship only to get the worst of the draw and miss the cut, but the signs are that his putting confidence is returning and that suggests to me that he is capable of having a big week, possibly this one. We know what he can do when he gets on a roll as his Fedex Cup win a couple of years ago showed.
Recommend £5EW Billy Horschel @150/1 1/4 odds 1-2-3-4-5-6.

I think it's just that I can get on the places Fred can't, maybe...
I actually lost all my WH privileges last night, so that one looks to be on the way out, and was just about my only totally unrestricted account.

I like the look of JB Holmes in the PGA Champs at 66s. He has been a bit all over the shop so far this season with some sceptical performances in the Players and US Open where he missed the cut in both but some outstanding displays in The Open, Memorial and The Masters where he came 3rd, T4 and T4 respectively. Currently ranked 16th in the world and with some impressive stats across the board I think he is definitely worth a bet.

Any love for Fulham to get relegated at 12/1? They seem to be relying on Ross McCormacks goals as their life support machine, and with a very competitive league nowadays I can really see them struggling. Would reccomend £20

Well, knowing how quickly the prices change I checked their odds before placing the bet and wrote it on the slip.
So if they do void the Caribbean one then my shop-placed Caribbean
losers
should also be voided? I have two of those which I am uncrumpling; voiding the three will get me more back than the one winner of the three so they can't have it both ways, surely.
After a couple of phone calls to their care line I finally got all those bets sorted out with Corals. Short story is-don't bet the CPL ones in-shop as they need to ring through to check that they offer the market in-shop. This is the only way they will be valid. My two losers and one winner all got voided/refunded. The one domestic one I did got paid out so it looks like they're ok.
