That's one way of working it out. Not sure it's the right or only way though.
Turn it another way. What price would you want about Murray now to win it if you
knew
he had to face Djok in the final?
I think it is the right way. I think 6/4 may be too big if anything. They are pretty close right now, and Djok faces a different Murray than 12 months ago, and given the tail off in form, I would suggest Murray faces a different Djok.
I think the bets are ok, just that 11/2 is much closer to the right price than 3/1.
Where is Arbboy, can't someone let him out?
As far as I know, he was "released" yesterday, & is free to post if he so wishes. I would imagine he is still reading blonde. *
EDIT - In fact he is perusing Fred right now, & no doubt quietly ruminating on the Murray/Djok debate.

Personally I would like to see a price on neither to make the final!
Only a few people know the scope of the Djokovic injury and I ain't one of them. I didn't see Murray in Cincinnati but I thought his service in the Olympics final was woeful, apart from the 1st set and the end of the match, and he was playing a player who looked like he had just finished running a marathon.
The 3rd quarter looks very interesting with questions over the top 3 so maybe dutch Zverev and Thiem in the hope that they have improved over the year.
If there had not been his injury then I would love Monfils to go deep, but he could easily withdraw during his first match.
I think laying Djokovic at 1/3 to win his quarter can't be bad with Sock, Anderson, Isner and Cilic all on their preferred surface. I know this is Djokovic's best too.
I thought I had 2 decent bets for today's matches but there are injury doubts over both the players I fancy, Youhzny and Lajovic.

I used to play for Guisborough Town and played at Whitby ground a few times, always had a full squad travel to this fixture, it wasn't because of it being a local grudge match, it was down to the post match meal (fish and chips).

Chompy, If djoko makes it through 6 matches I am almost certain he is in good nick, the worry here is the form/wrist of djoko. If both are made clear going to the 2nd week and both still in I expect Murray to drift and you will get bigger than 2.5 in a final v Djoko. Time will tell who will be right.
Hector, Murray player decent in Cincinnati but looked like he wanted to pack it in and rest up for the us open. He had the trainer on a few times to help with stiffness in his shoulder(perhaps that is why he served poor in the Olympics), he was complaining he has no energy but cilic played great and looks the one and only player you can see taking djoko out in the top section. Delpotro wasn't far away from taking that final to 5. Monfils is great to watch and would like to see him win a slam but it will never happen, he puts too many demands on his body, he refuses to shorten the points and it costs him in best of 5 sets in the long run, he pulled out last week I think, you are probably right with him retiring early this week.
Paire is always worth taking on at odds on, he isn't the most stable of players upstairs. Youzhny v klizan , you could see both of these players retire, klizan has had a nightmare year with injuries.

It's a bit 'Chinese whispers' esque so not sure its the type of stuff for Fred, but a friends brother is a semi pro footballer at the lower levels. Frickley are 5 defeats from 5 and lost 4-0 at home in the last game, and since then he's said their manager and better players have walked out.
They are away at Whitby today, 3pm. Whitby 17/20, or 85/40 -1 with BV.
Lovely fish and chips too.
2-0 v 10 men in the 73rd min. 2 penalties. Lovely

It looks as though Captain Clarke has gone for experiencex3 and Donald has got the third pick for the RC if the market is to be believed.
A little tough on Knox and Pieters if that's true.

Hard to tell honestly as the market is yo-yo-ing all over the shop.
Pieters currently 1/9
