Afjaan 11/1 and Dutch Law 16/1 in the 3.40 ascot.  25 each way both.

Dutch law ties in with firmament.  I wanted to back the latter, but it got too short.  Afjaan looks targetted at this and has scope for improvement.  I know its last race was on the all weather, but it cruised out the back before winning cosily.

Interesting. I've backed Squats and Donnaha! Really like Squats today.

Have also backed Sagaciously in the 3:25 at HQ.

The 3.40 at Ascot is intersting.  I looked at Firmament last night, but it has been smashed to bits.  Presumably pricewise has caused this.  That means that the two others I have got in mind are now quite a bit away from betfair, so will hopefully drift a bit and I can come back.  13/2 Firmament is still better than betfair right now.  Probably a bit short for thread.

Western Hymn (9/2) won't mind a bit of rain in the 2.30 and there is an absolute no hoper to protect the each way terms if one comes out.  Not sure it is thread worthy.

I do like Mehronisa in the 3.05.  You can have 8/1 quarter first 3 with me, but betfair is going to be fine for the first in (9.6 or 9.Cool and guess the place is going to be close to 3.0.

I still need to look at the last race at Ascot, but need to pop out v soon.  The redcar 2yo race looks good for a bet too, and there is another at Newmarket, though less bookies offering good each way on that one.

Might be back later

Think we are even before the above bet tikay.

Assumed this is mine as no confirmation.

That's quite annoying!

That teaches us to back against Tony Bloom...

Strictly business

I can't be having Ed Balls as favourite to go out this weekend on Strictly. Firstly, surely people are fundamentally sadistic when it comes to Saturday night TV and want to see him suffer a bit (maybe he will have some...er...momentum behind him).

Secondly, he's doing a Charleston, which is fun and packed full of wacky, crowd pleasing things. The footage in training isn't bad. He is surprisingly light on his feet. It's not great but he won't be the worst. Mid twenties probably. Expect Bruno to fall off his chair laughing (nb) and Craig to say he didn't have the swivel in his feet (nap).

11/8 best to go is nuts.

But it'll be someone near the bottom. Melvin has struggled with the timing in the tango, as Jeanette has - for reasons best known to herself - put in some nuanced choreography, where the first move is on the second beat of the bar. Melvin, being a disc jockey, naturally can pick a beat out and wants to go on the first beat of the bar. Add to that posture, footwork and frame and you've got a problem.

Couldn't put anyone off at 6/4. What might save him is the voting public. Fleur East, whoever she is, has tweeted her support.

Lesley Joseph will be fine. Anton is worth a couple of weeks while the votes are spread out.

Anastacia has a salsa, which is her second latin and should appeal to the sassy character. But the armography could be troublesome on the night. 22/1 with BetEveryDay could offer a smidgeon of value. But she has a lot of points in the bank from last week's 28. Hard to see her getting sub-20.

Naga won't be great but should survive. She's on telly every morning on the same channel. She's also better than a week one exit. She has had a tiff with Pasha today (some charming person with a long lens camera has let the Mirror know) and she has been dealing with Twitter trolls. If she can keep it together today (and I expect her to), she will be supported. But she's 25/1 to leave if not.

Then you're into the Rutherford (who won't do the worst tango tonight) Tameka (who will be fun) and Laura Whitmore (who with Giovani forms a solid pairing).

Feels like a Melvin to leave job. And yes, this counts as an esochomp.

Recommend £20 on Melvin next Elimination with Chorals or BetEveryDay.

Can you get anything on at Billy Hills? If so i'd like to go for Hunter Henry to score anytime for the Chargers v the Saints tomorrow please.

Currently 7/1 on their site, while generally ~ 6/4 Everywhere else. Antonio Gates, the usual Tight end didn't train all week and is expected to sit out again, last week when he was out, Henry played all 59 snaps that the Chargers had. Add to that the fact they're playing the worst defence in the league and it seems a no brainer to me

You'd think rose Stenson might get back together later. So then maybe fitz and wood drop out for Willet and ?Westwood?

Playing Westwood and/or Willett again before the singles would be the biggest blunder since Woy pinned his hopes on Raheem.

Lumped on Westie/Willett @2/1 this evening just to keep up my contrarian rep.

Melvin Odoom was full of intent but poor in frame, footwork, technique, facial expressions but apart from that...

23 is added to last week's 22.

We're certainly in play for the dance off.

23 from Ed but only because Craig gave him a 3.

Think the viewers will save him. If not, he will be very competitive in a dance off, given he got 6, 7, 7 from three judges.

Melvin in trouble.

Oh and the nap landed. "No swivel" from Craig.

Cheesy
