Slightly less glamorous up at Redcar but they do have the 2yo Trophy today and some books are paying 4 places 1/4 so plenty to get excited about 😀

Classy horses tend to do well in these races, and head of market all look pretty strong - Would take Rainbow Mist as pick of them but think at bigger price Appointed might be worth chancing @ 14/1 - Trainer has a good record in the race, and comes out very well at weights getting allowances. Slight worry it could get outpaced over 6  but can see it staying on for at least a place

See if anyone else got strong view but it's good race for EW bet with 4 places 1/4

Edit:- Happy to get a bet on with 364 for you if you want to get involved (my pick or another)

Should of added it's been quite a big drifter but can't see why especially, assuming the horse is sound I think 14/1 worth a play

Had a decent ew bet on the Jap horse a few weeks ago in anticipation of a few coming out, but would love to see the deserved Postponed win.

Ground reports suggest it may be a bit quick for Meccas, and I hope it stays quickish for last years winner Goldream.

Fahey been moaning all year about how badly handicapped Heavens Guest is, but now finally 1ib lower than last winning mark, so with the rain, and a big pot on offer for a former winner of the race, I like the 20-1. GL mate

Settlement Day

If Fred owes you anything for bets placed in September, please let me know & I'll settle up.

There are a few Ryder Cup liabilities as I recall - I'll settle those Monday if need be.

The 3.40 at Ascot is intersting.  I looked at Firmament last night, but it has been smashed to bits.  Presumably pricewise has caused this.  That means that the two others I have got in mind are now quite a bit away from betfair, so will hopefully drift a bit and I can come back.  13/2 Firmament is still better than betfair right now.  Probably a bit short for thread.

Western Hymn (9/2) won't mind a bit of rain in the 2.30 and there is an absolute no hoper to protect the each way terms if one comes out.  Not sure it is thread worthy.

I do like Mehronisa in the 3.05.  You can have 8/1 quarter first 3 with me, but betfair is going to be fine for the first in (9.6 or 9.Cool and guess the place is going to be close to 3.0.

I still need to look at the last race at Ascot, but need to pop out v soon.  The redcar 2yo race looks good for a bet too, and there is another at Newmarket, though less bookies offering good each way on that one.

Might be back later

Think we are even before the above bet tikay.

I was on at 14/1, so could have laid it off, but it was only a free £20 anyway.

Had a tenner on OOSG at big prices, but no monsoon will mean he's got no shot.

Yeah, he does love a moan up, while farming away.

I'll have to chuck a few quid on now, just for anti-tilt purposes Wink

8/1 now with certain firms on C-Bello and pieters for top euro . Surely each of them will play again in the afternoon with the same partners if they win their morning matches? Kaymer looks done til Sunday, bringing Westwood back would be sentiment. Sullivan seems reasonably unlikely to me (rather play him foursomes?) Only really willet who could be brought in? But a competitive morning and they stay unchanged?

Corrected post. 8/1 top euro

You'd think rose Stenson might get back together later. So then maybe fitz and wood drop out for Willet and ?Westwood?

Playing Westwood and/or Willett again before the singles would be the biggest blunder since Woy pinned his hopes on Raheem.

I went for a bet on 8/1 Pieters top euro with pp. Win only. Anyone agree or disagree with my reasoning?

His match is softer than RCB, his partner is better and he is a favourite over RCB in the top rookie market too. He is as short as 5/1 in some places for this.

If he and Rory wins then they have to play again and if they lose he is mostly out of it anyway. I like his price vs 3/1 Rory as there is a decent chance they will be on the same points going into Sunday.

Had 46 winners in September, which I believe is a record for a month. Amazing effort given evening racing tapers right off and it's mainly 0-60 filth on the AW.

Agree with your reasoning that Pieters is the better bet of the two.  Prob an ok bet given that.

Was trying to find angles on the basis that winners stay out, losers have lost anyway and it def edges towards the longer prices of those with a point in both markets, but I didn't bother looking too far as I already have a bit on Walker, Zach J, Sergio (ie Bello).
