I received the e-Mail of Doom yesterday, from BMU. It's a full Sports Betting account closure, not a Restriction affair. We can of course still play Slots & Table Game there.

This is not due to recent activity on BMU. In September, we placed 7 "regular" bets, 5 lost & 2 won for an overall loss of about £100.

We have two outstanding bets there, neither are sharp or dirty, one is £25 EW on a season long NFL "most something yards" on a fella by the name of Johnson, & the other (a private bet, not a Fred bet) was a (maxed) £20 Next Manager bet placed at 6/1, & which now trades at 8/1.

So it must be due to a review of the account overall.

For the record, we placed 942 bets with them (2nd highest of any bookie, Wm Hill had 1,114 bets), we staked £28,065, & made a profit of £3,083.41, which is 10.99% ROI. This was over a period of 3 years & 9 months.

So we never exactly slaughtered them, but we made a few bob.

Bit of a pain, really, but it is what it is.

Worth adding that of Fred's 4 most used accounts, 3 are now closed, & only Wm Hill remains open, &, currently, we are unrestricted, certainly at our usual staking levels.

The numbers are something like this.....

Ladbrokes, 806 bets, ROI 16.1% on stakes of £21,379. Account closed.

BMU, 942 bets, ROI 10.99% on stakes of £28,065. Account closed.

BWin, 132 bets, ROI 61.49% on stakes of £4,948. Account Closed.

Billy Mountain, 1,114 bets, ROI 7.69% on stakes of £34,047. Account functioning normally.

Red Shouty Man have put a market up this morning for worst nfl record and have put the 49ers up at 7/1, but with 3 Places 1/4 odds as well.

Any views on the field, including the each way terms, and including whether we should press on San Francisco.

wait? Browns are 0-4 and 10.5 point dogs to the Patriots/Brady this weekend and witha  team at 0-5 the 49ers price isn't any shorter.

do we think 49ers are much worse than titans, dolphins, bears? (of a number of bad teams)

49ers should be bottom 5 but not sure they are 2/1 bottom 3 as of now

I think that's fair.

Was just pointing out the market and happy to get views on whether anyone else was worth a bet.

Sorry Engy, BMU = Bet Victor.

BMU emanates from an advertising campaign they had a few years back, "Butter Me Up".

Don't forget the Crowley bet at 5-1. You're not allowed to have good bets like this with them, only weekend footy accas, where one lets you down and gives you something to talk about down the pub of a Saturday evening.

They've gone from being THE elite bookmaker to a bunch of clowns. All they do these days is shut folk down.

I don't generally read much Twitter stuff, but his Twitter Feed the last 2 days has been real car crash stuff.

I used to enjoy that series very much. Whether they did their intended job is another matter, of course, but they were really well put together.

Aussies have plenty of runs on the board, looks a good spot for Zampa to take some expensive wickets when the slog is
