I've only done Meet the Legend for Fred, Doobs.

I do like Sternrubin and Wolf of Windlesham, but they're both shorter with Paddy than best price.

Isn't this a race where we should be backing a few?

Patrick Parr is 5 places 1/4 in the big handicap today (3.35 at Ascot). (Scuy is 6 but 1/5 and we have discussed that one already here.)

Anyone fancy anything in that race? Patrick is top price Meet the Legend, for example.

I've backed Sternrubin and Wolf of Windlesham FWIW, but four places only, as Patrick doesn't fancy laying either, looking at oddschecker.

a mutual friend of ours who talks a lot of sensei worded me Meet the Legend and Sternrubin, fwiw

If you want Meet The Legend 4 places I can do you 25 e/w at 11/1.

Same offer for Stenrubin or Diego Du Charmil.  Up to 25 e/w at 16/1 both.   Just confirm here.

we'll take the Sternrubin (down to Talwise) and diego du charmil (down to doobs) then

might as well be completely in the hole as part in it.

Just tried paddies and they let me have 4 quid one and a fiver the other of mine.  Guess I wouldn't leave it lying on the floor.

On Shy.  Fifth 6 places is a better offer than a fifth 5 places.  I only think one offer is a bit scummy.  They have ducked the prices again though.  Not that they'd lay me anyway.

Edit.  Guess I am stuck with these extra bets now.  No bother, will be 1-2-3 no doubt.

No, I can't have that. I'm a bit confused by it all, but if we have not taken it already, we will. In for a penny & all that.

Probably.  Have backed the Wolf too now.

I have put more money on this one race than I have spent on Christmas presents.  When the kids open the presents,  I will just explain how hard it is to find 16 runner handicaps over the jumps.  Sure they'll understand that education is more important than material things.  I think God would approve.

Thanks Doobs & Tal.

Tal - good luck this weekend, hope you get the lot in London. I heard Natterley Bromley is in London, too, so maybe you will bump into her. If so, give her my love please.

Meet The Legend 5 places through Tal. 11/1.

Sternrubin and Diego Du Charmil both 4 places through me at 16/1.  Edit. I can't get 5 if that wasn' clear.

All 25 e/w I think.

As explained earlier we only really need 3 places though.

Am happy with what I have Tikay, don't worry

Blimey, don't think we have backed so many in 1 race since the Supreme Novices in 2012, when Mr Shallow & Mr Channing were urging us to  shovel the lot on.

Scary but exciting.

Best go do my walk then come back & watch.

It is 2 races tikay. We haven't beat the Supreme Novices yet, though pretty sure I have personally.

At least you didn't have most your student loan on! Great days of betting, bizarre to think that was really 2012!
