Anyhow, I think it praiseworthy that a young sportsman who left a strife torn country, came to these shores with no English, excelled in his sport, won titles, gold medals, reached number one in his profession and fulfilled a lifelong dream has been recognised and honoured along with Britains other sporting greats.

p.s. Tikay didn't pm me but I posted anyway. Hopefully others will as well.

Ha, excellent work Rubbish, post more please mate.

Ladies tennis in Brisbane, early season so could be even more unpredictable than usual in picking the winner. Kerber is the number one seed and justified favourite. I looked for an each way bet in the bottom half of the draw. The third quarter contains Muguruza, Kasatkina and Kuznetsova who could all win this tournament on their day. But the fourth quarter is very weak.

Fifth in the world ranked Slovakian Dominika Cibulkova begins with a bye and the other seed in her section has already been knocked out. After having Achilles surgery in 2015 she spent last year working her way back up the rankings. She finished fantastically on the hard courts with title in Austria and a final defeat to Kerber in China. This qualified her for the WTA Finals which she won at her first attempt taking revenge on Kerber in the final. A tremendous achievement considering she was ranked as low as 60ish early in the season.

Everyone else in her quarter is 40/1 or more for the title outright and she is in the opposite half of the draw to Kerber.

I'd like to recommend a bet of £20 each way available with WH or BV at 13/2

the only 13/2 is BV which we can't do

11/2 would be the best available on tikay's accounts

Amazed quite by chance is 6/1. Should love conditions. The closest thing to a late gamble seemed to be As De Mee who had trouble here six weeks ago in the mud.

No time for Fred. Sorry. Could be a good thing of course.

Weather looks even worse than it was in November. Proper grim.

Mccoy and Ed don't look remotely impressed with Chapman's antics.  Quite an odd combo of two ultra pro's in AP and Ed and two jokers in Harvey and Chapman.  Harvey isn't going to last surely on this gig?

Ed's just playing the straight man, isn't he? Chapman came on at the end like Lord Flashheart in Blackadder, while everyone else was tired, cold and wet. I enjoyed it, particularly when he pressed AP on Faugheen and Annie Power: "Have a word, Champion!"

I was most surprised to see AP crack a joke. He'll be reading his novels next.
