Nobody watches snooker anymore. The historic data of snooker players winning it was in the same era as bullseye having 20m viewers on a sunday afternoon and families sitting down together and watchhing the snooker with the gran. It doesn't happen anymore. World has moved on. I would be amazed if a snooker player ever wins spoty again even ronnie.
People forget that there was hardly any live sport on tv back in the day. Snooker was probably shown more live on tv than any other sport other than horse racing in that era. You could watch one live football match a week if you were lucky.

Bit harsh on Jimmy Anderson, he has been really solid for years. He isn't going to win it, like, but surely it is reasonable to recognise him? and good for the Dina place obv. FWIW The kids eyes were glazing over until Dina Asher-Smith was mentioned. |

Today's Fury move was odd but some of the layers may have been otherwise occupied perhaps? Conspiracy theories too easy in these spots but both drifts were weird and unexpected to say the least. Comedy scenes really.

Absolutely no chance now. The whole essence of backing her was the unbridled joy she showed at the end of every race she won. The footage just never showed it, instead we get her crossing the line and coverage cutting out. Without that we dont have enough from the sporting achievement side, methinks. Let hope for the place at least. I hope I am wrong. * I really do lack faith in any coverage that the BBC make of anything other than dramas these days.... |
