In light of the Scottish Cup draw, does anyone have any views on the Civil Service Strollers v Tuffiff United match?

Is there a market on "most hilarious name" because I think we have a winner. Unless that is the people who decided what constitutes a ridiculous name for a golfer are arbiters. In that case, it will be Dundee United.

It's Turriff.

It is, Scotty. My apologies.

Sandy Lyle was the one I seem to remember and google has confirmed it as 1989.

Good news on next weeks golf Mr Tikay as Dr Noh gets to play against the same 3 other Koreans. I wonder if we will get a price to be able to back him again ?

We can but wish!

Forest Green at Kidderminster good Bet at 2.47 , Forest Green spent a lot on team , and Kidderminster had poor start to conference Campaign !!

Seeing they went down to 10 Men after 34 Mins i was pleased to get a result here , Sorry i placed it up here late , but i did say i would post some of my Lower League Bets on here this season , so i will try earlier in future as i forgot to put this up untill 10 mins before kick off , i hope some of you got on !!

I got on, thanks very much!

'Not Fred related, but many congrats to Paul Lawrie, who crushed the Johnnie Walker Golf Tourney @ Gleneagles. We are delighted for him.'

GIQ ffs, vwp.

Lol, I could not help myself!

There is a downside though.

As you know, when I bet Golf, I generally back 2, 3 or 4 players to return me around £500, or £1,000, (allowing for the other selections) & I bet wherever the price is best, obviously.

It just so happens that I had both McIllroy (£53 @ 18/1) and Paul Lawrie (£20 @ 28/1) with PP. (And some of Miss China). In each case, I placed my whole golf "book" with them, so there were losers too.

I placed a bet with them today for £50 @ 6/5, & it got referred!

Thats the first time I have been referred by PP, & the bet was silly small, so I'm a bit worried that I might not be able to bet with them much longer. My average bet size with them is about £50 at a guess, & I'm clearly a recreational punter, who just got lucky over a 2 week period, so it's a bit disappointing to find I am on the "referred" list.

The lad Clary closes in on odds-onism...

It took me a while to work out what this meant, and I backed the lad.  Poor tikay has no hope.

Correct, I'm a bit anal in that area.

It's a passage that takes some working out.

I thank you.

Just had the draw for the semi finals of the Cricket CB40 cup

 Sussex v Hants

 Lancs v Warwickshire

No match odds out yet...and pains me to say, but I make Sussex hot favs to beat Hants.

Sussex at home, and apart from their lackluster display against Yorkshire at the 20/20 finals day, are a very good one day team .
Hants will be without two of their key players, Dimi Mascarenhas (injured) and Neil McKenzie (going home to SA).
Hants of course will be full of confidence from winning the 20/20 cup......but I think Sussex will be far too strong this Saturday.

Not sure what a value price might be on the Sussex? ....thoughts from Tighty or any cricket follower?

.Early odds to win outright are Sussex and Lancs 2/1   Hants 3/1    Warks 7/2.

We (warks) have won 8 games in the CB40. If we can get our centrally contracted players back, we have a fair chance. Carter took 4-16 today, incidentally.

If Sussex are bigger than 4/6 they are a bet. Been impressed with Sussex this season apart from finals day when the mighty Yorkshire took them apart.

Of all the CB40 teams I've traded this season Sussex have impressed me the most. I actually think they are a bet at the outrights. Tighty?

No time, but like the look of Sussex

Home draw against weakened Hants is huge

If they win will be favourites to win the final

Outrights is the bet I think
