Not followed this thread at all because i turned my eye to a more serious poker grind and took out the potential punter like losses from sports betting but i will go in for bets i feel have value and i think this one does although i doubt i will get much support.

It is one of my favourite bets as it reduces there are only two results with this, and my last two suggestions on this thread featured double chance bets that were successful so hope this is a third in a row.

It is Southampton or the draw at 2/1 with BetFred. They are away to Everton which explains the big odds. I think Southampton are on the up after their first win in the league last week after a 4 game hammering, so i think they will have more frustration to positively vent. While Everton are on great form and I feel that they are due a collapse somewhere down the line, and i think the loss to Leeds during the week helps a little, but might be adverse to this bet because Moyes may be hammering the players for that, making them improve immensely for Saturday.

I think Everton will probably win, but i think this is more to do with the value more than anything and that is why i am on it for 100 pounds.

Just thought i would put this out there and even if you don't back it we can see if i am a little bit of a genius.

Don't mind this bet, you can lay 1.46 Everton on betfair

Daily Report as @ 0715, Friday September 28th

We lost £5 yesterday.

Only one wager completed, being a "£5 @ 33/1 First TD" in this morning's NFL which never made the endzone.

We placed 2 new bets yesterday - £50 on Europe to win the Ryder Cup @ 2/1, thanks to a philanthropist Fred follower. It's a decent price, though whether it is a good bet I'm not so sure. Anyway, we have a £50 interest in the outcome, so that box is ticked.

The other bet was a hector special, completing his portfolio on the St Helens Warrington affair with £5 @ 18/1 the tie.

Our T20WC bets continued, & we seem to be doing every bit as well as we did in the Euro12 Football. The Firing Squad are practising, I am told.

The Ryder Cup Opening Ceremony was televised last night. Opening Ceremony? An endless procession of golfers & their wives, dressed in ill-fitting & ill-suited uniforms. Good grief. And then the Gospel singers did their thing.......

I think I might just be pleased when the hype is done with.

Here's two chaps from different eras, different sports, & with completely different sporting ethics. The times they are a changing.

What's coming up?

The Ryder Cup begins at around 1.20pm today.

T20WC continues, two games today. B-B-B reached new & unplumbed heights depths of absurdity yesterday, when they had - wait for it - a super over. It was exciting in the same way as a Circus is.

God give me strength. Super B-B-B.

PS - I am a shade curmudgeonly & tetchy this morning. Just so you know.

We head into a huge weekend with a profit of £174 for September, but £240 of bets due to complete, & probably a good deal more still to be placed.

Trivia Corner - St Albans, in Hertfordshire, was where Sam Ryder was first advised to take up golf.

Particular highlight for me was Justin Timberlake reciting a poem about golf to the sound of a school orchestra playing Land of my Fathers.

Or possibly the fly past that didn't really happen.

This cup is locked up already.

Is the bottom photo a pic of Lord Lucan after he heard his BetVictor account was being restricted?

No no no.

That is Sam. You know, Sam the Man. He never bet with Victor, he was a Cyril Stein man.

I assumed four balls clown that I am.  I still think it is tho - average 6/4 is 38/1 - got to assume Stricker and Tiger play again and will be 11/10 best - and only a Donald Garcia or Mcilroy Gmac team will strt as fav - even if he mixes it up can only see two American pairings stating 13/8 biggest.  I think Red is abso right - even tho I read it wrong

I just took the midpoints on betfair from the matchups to come up with 30-1.  Not sure how the odds compilers at Skybet can't figure that out tbh although I think that the prices on BF are about what i made all the foursomes.  Wish I had the maths to work out all the combis too but will leave that to smart guys like Ed Gascoigne.

you have excel?

Based on the mid-points about 20 mins ago the foursomes should be

2.53 europe
2.8 US
3.98 tie

the us points

4 -    33.3

3.5   25

3      6.67

2.5   7.35

2     3.98

1.5  6.94

1    5.99

.5  21.3

An interesting stat I read - Man City v Fulham games - both teams have scored in 16 of the last 17 renewals of this fixture.  I assume the bookies know this, but would be interesting to see how the both teams to score price is compared to, say, Sunderland v Wigan?
