A little piece on Kap's tattoos. Hadn't realised they had drawn such criticism in the States. Here, it's rare to see a footballer without them. Beckham has loads, too.

And then there's Jade Dernbach:

Interesting discussion on them.

Hmmm

Skip Bayless of ESPN. As a pundit, he's like Mark Lawrenson and Andy Townsend only slightly more erudite and twice as annoying.

Was just about to post the same thing (only less eloquently)

Everything in US sports coverage is contrived tho. They get two guys to disagree completely on every possible issue, so they're arguably better than the UK pundits, who have their own - but banal and ill-informed - opinions.

I just noticed the missed Treadwell bet from ghurkin Tikay.  Did you not have a policy of running with first time posters bets as a "welcome to the thread" sort of thing at one time? He went against Everyman and his dog in saying Pujara would not play too

No bites yet over on the rail today Herbie?  Wink

Not sure ghurkin was going against everyone with regards to Pujara, I think it was more a case of he gave fred the heads up that he probably wouldn't start and that in turn was the reason he was 10s.

Yes, we do, or we try to, providing they are not plain daft.

In the same recommend, gherkhin also suggsted we bet Ian Bell as "good value", & we did. The weight of opinion suggested that maybe Tredwell was correctly priced, whereas Bell was good or better value, so we decided to choose that one of his two suggestions. It is, of course, quite easy to be wise after the event though we tend to avoid that sort of thing. None of the suggestions or bets have won or lost yet though, it is a 5 match series & one match has been completed.

We also warmly welcomed him to the thread & congratulated him on being our 100th different Tipster to have a bet accepted since the thread bergan.

All parties knew that Pujara was not certain to play the first game, & we placed the bets knowing that. gherkhin then Posted the Link where it was confirmed Pujara was unlikely to play.  Which was AFTER we placed the 2 bets on Pujara.

An hour of looking at the Heineken cup has led me to the Clermont / Exeter match. Exeter got humbled in the 2nd half of the first game and today will be damage control to keep the score respectable. I think the points line is too high as I don't see Exeter contributing more than a dozen.

Suggest under 46.5 points £24 @ 5/6 Ladbrokes.

I'm very glad I included it then, & if you enjoyed that, you will enjoy these.

It came from a thread started on this Board yesterday by redarmi, entitled "Groundhopping".

Do please have a browse, some wonderful little grounds are included, it is a perfectly splendid stroll through grass root football grounds. The one I featured in todays photo montage thingie was in Cornwall, the East Cornwall Leage (Div One) no less.

Threads & links like that make this Forum special, & help to balance some of the nonsense, CBB & arty bollox included.

Off you go, see you in an hour.....

Afternoon hector.

Blimey, that's brave - the Frenchies are 1/100 to win that! Presumably the Cake & Coffee method was not used.

We shall trust in you though, & we have £24 @ 5/6, Ladbrokes, UNDER 46.5 points, Clermont v Exeter. No landslides please.......

In 12 league games Ashton Gate has seen 53 goals, more than any other Championship ground

Leicester can bang them in, when the flair players click. Goal Difference this season +21 with 6-0 and 6-1 on their slate, but can give away a soft goal at any time

Crucially Bristol C have lost Danns who was on loan from us, to a loan at Huddersfield. He helped their form pick up considerably and protected that back four in December

In Baldock though they have a goalscorer and as a team have scored 24 at home which is more than 14 of the other 23 teams in the division

One more for snowy, in case he tries to resist clicking that link.

This is the Main Stand at the ground of Brimscombe & Thrupp. Obviously. Look, it even has two loudspeakers. One for each fan.

OVER 4.5 goals? Have you taken leave of your senses Rich? Yikes!

Well we could only get £1.72 on with Bet 365 (£1.72!), but that worked out nicely, as the nice chaps at Sporting Bet offered us 5/1.
