amazing a lot of people seem to think a red was harsh

try kicking a minor in the street even gently i am sure you will soon get a visit (and rightly so)

Too right. He'll be lucky if he doesn't get a call from the other boys in blue.

This isn't like when Ashley Cole shot one of the YTS lads with an air rifle. This is one of the opposition.

Only the good ones

Twitter is incredible at such events

Genuine comedy, mock outrage, bafflement and then within ten minutes someone has dug up the real twitter account!

Just seen this, what an abs tool.

Hoddle is spot on tho, most home teams school ballboys to get the ball back quickly if the team are behind and slowly if the are winning or hanging on to something, Trevor Francis once complained about the Sheff Utd ballboys in an interview before a Sheffield derby. He did take it a bit far tho tbf.

Didn't Jamie Carragher get a red card for throwing a coin into the crowd at Highbury once?

Chelsea FC ‏@chelseafc
It’s all over: 0-0 (0-2 agg). A hugely disappointing performance topped by a bizarre red card. #CFC

Chelsea FC ‏@chelseafc
Has football gone mad? Hazard is sent off for kicking the ball under a ball boy attempting to smother the ball rather than return it. #CFC

amazed in this day and age they have an official account that offers opinion not just fact

Tweet from Michael Owen:

Quote
I'm not saying Hazard isn't in the wrong but I hate to see a person who instigates a situation then cry foul for next to nothing.

He's got a point, and it's a wide thing in society now. Someone acts the twat, gets pulled up on it, then bleats and whinges. Hazard got the ball - barely touched the kid yet he lies there holding his side as if he's been shot.

Kid stepped out of line, he should take his medicine.

Owen basically sums up about 30 players in the premiership and any number in Spain.
