Lakers have had a big team meeting and reckon this is the start of their season. Mind u, they did something similar two weeks back too lol.

Intersting article about the Super Bowl line, sharp money and the direction the total is heading here http://www.sportsinsights.com/blog/super-bowl-sharp-money-is-there-value-on-the-total/

Really enjoying the explanations from Neil, Keef, Red and any other wise NFL guys, thanks for taking the time to spell it out

Amen to that, it is incredible stuff.

Can someone tell me who or what "The Greek" is please? Sounds very gangster-ish!

Good Morning,

They are a big bookmaker on the other side of the Atlantic, I believe a regular Fred contributor works for them.

Thanks Kuku, & yes, we have a chap who I believe works there, (we must not be specific) but the name "The Greek", is that its real name? Incredible if it is.

Might just be the greatest name for a Bookie ever ever ever.

Time I went a-googling then.

Hope this does not break any rules, at the other end so to speak., I'll remove if it does.

And this is why I think the name is so cool - this exactly fits the vision I have of a name like "The Greek"......

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Greek

No offence intended.

In a blind taste-test of bookies names, no contest.

How did it come to be known by that name? Was it founded by a Gentleman from Greece?

The Greek

On the ballboy issue, if he is tweeting before the match how he intends to waste time and patently does so, isn't that grounds for a Swansea expulsion?  I am not excusing Hazard though.

Should be but he was called in as back up, he's no longer an official ball boy I believe.

A bit like the "special team" in the NFL?

His dad is a director of Swansea City FC, too

Not that it matters, but added a little something to it

Is it the snooker shootout this weekend?  You get 100-1 shots romping home in that - surely Fred should have a couple of runners for some weekend sweats.

Celery?

In the days of multi-ball it seemed to be common practice for ball boys to be coached in when to be swift and when to be tardy (and possibly even when to introduce a second ball into play)
