Our Rugby League bet is likely to be a bit uphill, we are on under 52, and there are 36 points on the board at half time.

However, those brave souls who took Hector's hint and also backed 7/1 shots Widnes must be pleased with life, with Widnes leading 28-12.

Did Trump just concede there needing two snookers on the pink?

Think the pink was over the pocket after Ronnie played his last shot though.

It looked like he could easily keep it out though.

I never used to concede needing two snookers, I won a few of them too.

I never used to when I had a few balls to hide behind, but with just the 2 left I think it's reasonable to rack them up.

Didn't see Hector's tip - but I've been on Sintellens' opposition for the last three games. Bookies keep making them favourites and they are in complete disarray. I think the bookies might wake up a bit before their next game. If not, there'll be more value to be had.

As for your points bet in the Bradford v Leeds match.  It'll be a lot closer this half, so all might not be lost (although Bradford have just gone over for a try in the corner).

Mmm, 46 points on the board in the Leeds game now.

Widnes were 7/1 shots, and now lead 34-18.

Oh my, Lady Ref Michaela WARNS Ronnie for making "obscene gestures" with his cue.

Ronnie not best pleased.

Ronnie could very easily implode here......

Leeds are in there I think (if the video ref gives it), and Sinfield won't miss the kick - so that'll be the 52 points. Sad

Not sure if this has been discussed yet but Ladbrokes have an offer on the 2000 Guineas tomorrow. If 15/8 fav Dawn Approach wins they will refund all bets as free bets upto the value of £25. Its available to all customers, but only on the first bet you place on this race(e.g. you cant back all the runners). T+Cs are on their website, but all seem fair enough.

They are 2/1 Toronado, currently 3.05 on betfair. Ive havent done the maths on this but reckon this is a fairly solid selection. Front page of the racing post, shows Hughes stating it could be the best its ever ridden and that he expects to win. I actually wouldnt be suprised to see if go off fav.

So I think £25 on Toronado at 2/1 to win the 2000 Guineas(3.50 Newmarket) is a fair investment with Laddies.

Thank you very much Everton Bloke. You must be very pleased with Mr Moyes & Co once again?

Will look at that 2000 Guineas freebie later this evening.

Morning Mr T.

A new month, a few winners and Freds atrabilious feelings are but a distant memory.

A lot of rugby tonight and it has been hard to decide on the best bet for you. I decided to concentrate on the rugby league as the RabPro union matches could be confused by teams with nothing to play for.

I reduced it down to 2 possible bets. In the St Helens/Widnes game I think Widnes are a good bet @ 7-1. They will not have a better chance of beating their rivals as St Helens are in a bad way. No form and injuries make them vulnerable. But it does require Widnes to actually believe in themselves and that is no guarantee away from home. I am still smarting from the 84-6 loser that I gave, but I will back them myself for a small amount and have a bigger bet on the Leeds game.

I think Bradford/Leeds will be low scoring. My opinion on Leeds is well documented on Fred, their attack is not great, but they may have the best defence around. We can get low on points at 52 which is worthwhile doing. Only 3 of Bradfords games have gone over 50 points this season, 2 of them being big wins over 2 bad sides. In their last game against Leeds it ended in an 18-18 draw. So with the better team playing away, and being a local derby this all looks like a low scorer.

Suggest £24 under 52 points @ 5/6 with William Hill.

Thanks hector.

Ooh, another new word for my collection.

Atrabilious - adjective 1. gloomy; morose; melancholy ; morbid. 2. irritable; bad-tempered; splenetic

Incidentally, have you noticed how the natives pronounce "Bradford"? - they substitute the first "d" with a "t". Bratford. Most odd. I shall have a small off-thread tickle on Widnes, but Fred is too nitty, & will proceed as recommended.

£24 @ 5/6, Wm Hill, UNDER 52 points, Bradford v Leeds.

ON

03 May 2013 - Bradford v Leeds - Total Match Points

Under 52 @ 5/6

Stake : £24.00

Estimated Returns : £44.00Transaction Reference:O/0457483/0000405/F

Well Fred lost out, but I have a hunch plenty got on Widnes, who won with a bit to spare.

Maths is going to be fairly compelling on this.

Another solid season again, but would be nice to turn over the enemy on Sunday, cant see it happening tho.

Wasnt best pleased about Jacquelin winning that golf tournament when we were only him for in a matchbet,....best not to be greedy tho.
