Not sure if this has been discussed yet but Ladbrokes have an offer on the 2000 Guineas tomorrow. If 15/8 fav Dawn Approach wins they will refund all bets as
free bets
upto the value of £25. Its available to all customers, but only on the first bet you place on this race(e.g. you cant back all the runners). T+Cs are on their website, but all seem fair enough.
They are 2/1 Toronado, currently 3.05 on betfair. Ive havent done the maths on this but reckon this is a fairly solid selection. Front page of the racing post, shows Hughes stating it could be the best its ever ridden and that he expects to win. I actually wouldnt be suprised to see if go off fav.
So I think £25 on Toronado at 2/1 to win the 2000 Guineas(3.50 Newmarket) is a fair investment with Laddies.
Thank you very much Everton Bloke. You must be very pleased with Mr Moyes & Co once again?
Will look at that 2000 Guineas freebie later this evening.
Maths is going to be fairly compelling on this.
As in "we should get on"?

Another solid season again, but would be nice to turn over the enemy on Sunday, cant see it happening tho.
Wasnt best pleased about Jacquelin winning that golf tournament when we were only him for in a matchbet,....best not to be greedy tho.
No, let's not be greedy, the bet was a stormer, and we got a nice winner.
Good luck on Sunday.

Not to be Mr T but you seem to be doing well out of my non " Fred " tips. Maybe I should just put tips up and not choose one for Fred. Still, lots more rugby over the weekend.

Nice one.
I don't have a William Hill account so I missed that one and had the Widnes one @8.4 on Betfair.
Yeah just put up all your tips, fancies and half fancies. I'll back 'em all blind!

I think you should put that free BetVictor £25 bet on George Vancouver in the 2000 Guineas. He ran some decent races last year, including winning the Breeders Cup Juvenile Turf. That race doesn't take as much to win as you may think by the title but still a solid performance. He was beaten quite convincingly by Dawn Approach in the Dewhurst finishing 3 lengths back in 3rd and placed in another two Group 1s. The thing that caught my eye was that it ran its best race on firm.
He isn't quite up there with the best on last year's form, but at 18s you can beat Betfair and it is the kind of price that is very good for a free bet.
Suggest £25 free bet on George Vancouver on the nose at 18/1 with BetVictor in tomorrow's 2000 Guineas.
For those that don't have a free bet, because of the shape of tomorrow's race, he is also a good each way proposition (free bets should always be win only). I have done this myself.

No worries man. I speed-read too much, rushing hither & thither, & I had thought it was you who had asked.
Anyway, Spurs Bloke has tilted me up a treat, talking arty Shakespeare "drink my eyes with your cup" bollox. Proper pissed me off he has.
BEN JONSON
Artsy, maybe. Fartsy, a touch. But never boring.
http://www.luminarium.org/sevenlit/jonson/benbio.htm
In 1597 he was imprisoned in the Fleet Prison for his involvement in a satire entitled The Isle of Dogs, declared seditious by the authorities. The following year Jonson killed a fellow actor, Gabriel Spencer, in a duel in the Fields at Shoreditch and was tried at Old Bailey for murder. He escaped the gallows only by pleading benefit of clergy. During his subsequent imprisonment he converted to Roman Catholicism only to convert back to Anglicism over a decade later, in 1610. He was released forfeit of all his possessions, and with a felon's brand on his thumb
.
Also under suspicion briefly for the Gunpowder Plot. Ended up as Poet Laureate.

Hills have settled our UKIP bet.
Tremendous stuff, Tighty.
Great tipping and result for Tighty, maybe not so much for the rest of us.
I did browse the results and came across the Idle Toad party. Unfortunately they lost their remaining seat today.
But despite that I think they have the best Wikipedia entry of any political party.
The party had three councillors on South Ribble District Council by 2007. Yates and Jim Marsh, another party councillor, resigned from the party that year, joining the Conservative Party soon after. Marsh later sued the party over a comment in its newsletter describing him as a "defacator". Sharratt countered that this was a misprint, and should have described him as a "defector". He was censured and ordered to apologise to Marsh. He later won an appeal to this order.
