Freds new favourite college football team ranked number 3 in the coaches poll*

http://espn.go.com/college-football/rankings

This is some photos from their new training facility, thanks to uncle Phil **

http://dailyemerald.com/2013/07/31/photos-inside-the-new-oregon-ducks-football-performance-center/

Neither can hurt Mr Mariota chances of scooping the Heisman.

*The coaches poll is voted by various head coaches from around college football and are asked to rank every 1st division college from 1-25 in the US. It forms part of the decision making process at the end of the season to decide which bowl game each team plays in.

** Uncle Phil = Phil Knight one of the founders of Nike and ex University of Oregon graduate, who pours much of his wealth back into the sports teams at the University.

We are FASTER......(thanks to Uncle Phil)

There is only one Uncle Phil.

Here's one for the geeks:

Daily report

Profit on Month £102.25

Outstanding Bets £1971.10

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aia1Hxq-NDNWdFk3UmlTSXMzTjRBTVNfOWRndVFsZHc#gid=28

A busy start to the month, headlined by Amazing Maria's win at 4-1 at Goodwood for a profit of £250 from BadBeat

Just as well really, as the rest of the slate contained seven losers and only one more winner, Wild Coco at 6/5, for total losses of £148

In the Golf Henley and Horschel lost in the match bets 71 v 74 and  70 v 72 respectively

In the cricket Australia won the toss and it proved to be an important one on another dry pitch that spun immediately. The chances of 5-0 recede, and Michael Clarke's century probably put paid to the Warner bet straight away

All is not lost though as we have £50 on Clarke to be top Aussie bat and he has moved into the lead with room to add this morning

Player           Inn Runs Best Average
MJ Clarke          5  227  125*  56.75
CJL Rogers         5  173   84   34.60
SPD Smith          5  143   70*  35.75
AC Agar            4  130   98   32.50
SR Watson          5  128   46   25.60
BJ Haddin          4   86   71   21.50
PJ Hughes          4   83   81*  27.66
JL Pattinson       4   72   35   36.00
UT Khawaja         3   69   54   23.00

We also have Swann at 11/2 to be top series wicket taker. This is also looking ok

Player          Inn Wkts Average  Econ
GP Swann          5   15   24.60  2.63
JM Anderson       5   13   23.84  2.84
PM Siddle         4   11   25.09  3.03
RJ Harris         2    7   14.71  2.33
JL Pattinson      4    7   43.85  3.36
TT Bresnan        3    5   21.80  2.65
MA Starc          2    5   27.00  2.75
SPD Smith         2    4   20.75  4.15
SCJ Broad         5    4   63.50  3.06
JE Root           3    3    7.66  2.09
ST Finn           2    2   58.50  4.68
AC Agar           4    2  124.00  2.95
SR Watson         4    1   88.00  2.00
IJL Trott         1    0       -  6.00

Express Master moved into the final of the Sussex Cup Dogs next week with a fast time. scotty2hatty has us on at 8-1

With two days of Goodwood to go Hughes and Ryan Moore are tied at 3 wins each. We have Hughes at 11/8 to be top jockey at the meeting

In the MLB last night the Red Sox won again, and the Rays did not play. In the Central, whisper it but our long forgotten Kansas City Royals have now won 9 of 10. Still a way behind the Tigers and the Indians who are also on form, but one to watch as they have an outside shotof theplay-offs where all hope seemed to be lost

Central    W    L    Pct    GB    Home    Road    Last 10    Streak
Detroit Tigers    61    45    .575    --    34-19    27-26    9-1    Won 5
Cleveland Indians    60    48    .556    2    37-19    23-29    8-2    Won 8
Kansas City Royals    54    51    .514    6.5    27-24    27-27    9-1    Won 9

Back at Old Trafford Chris Rogers scored 84 to take him over 20,000 first class runs at over 50. A fantastic record, and it only includes 4 Test matches, testament to Australia's strength when he was younger. We are about to have to take his top County Cricket Captain bet as a loss, which is a shame, as it would have hosed up without the International call up

The County Championship returns today. Middlesex face a big one at Lords against Durham who are above them in the table. In Div 2 Northants are 8 points off the top at 20-1 and play 4th place Gloucestershire

Final has only been priced up at Coral, they go 7/4 Express Master and 5/4 Teejays Bluehawk, who after I'd posted saying Master had set the 2nd fastest time of the year proceeded to go faster. Bluehawk comes from off the pace and the good thing about the final is that he will have to go past better dogs than normal to get to us (hopefully we're in the lead).

Here's both semi-finals. No idea if anyone is really interested but like to update bets that I've suggested.

is the draw for the final random?

Presumably very important for Express to get 1,2,3?

You bet we are interested!

I think everyone should give us running Updates of their Fred bets.

Teejays looked stunning in his quarter-final, but he has to come from off the pace, & through the pack, so he might just run into some bumping & boring.

Whatever happens, been a great bet.

The 5/4 on Montridge has gone out to 7/4 on Hills since, especially good with the fact it's best odds guaranteed!
