Am I the only one who finds a whole series of 300+ slogathons a bit boring?
Silly Cricket, see?
5 day Tests are the real deal. Sir Geoffrey at the crease on the opening morning, stonewalling, 35/0 at Lunch, proper cricket.

I love cricket, but I like a balanced series. 350v350 is great but it's fun when there's a couple of tougher wickets in the series, too.
I don't promote chess as a spectator pursuit, although the Indian sports person of the year 2012 might surprise you...

Begovic scored, and became Stoke's joint top scorer this season
The sort of trivia I like.

We definitely missed a bet today. Pulled out in all directions and forgot to put the sixes/runs stuff up
The new regulations - two new balls, even tighter fielding restrictions, plus bat technology plus power of batsmen have defintely spoilt the One day game as an even contest
Dhoni, whose career has been made in improbable slogging, said as much in the post match interview on Thursday
Might as well put a bowling machine on the popping crease and let the batsmen tee off....MLB Home run Derby style
Anyway, until the ICC levels the playing field for bowlers, and until prices adjust, we should be piling onto sixes and runs and hundreds in the matches all winter..unless there is a specific playing condition such as weather or the size of the Melbourne Cricket ground that mitigates against this

Quick question please
1st 2 Tidal Bay(S Twiston-Davies, 11/4) (well done)
We are not B-O-G are we not, so 15/8 is the price for the bet?

I am fairly sure we still get BOG with Hills. Should be 93.75 back from the 25. Long Run hit a fence hard and was beat a long way.

Very well done Doobs, especially @ 11/4, cracking result.
I owe you a drink, too. When I first placed the bet, I forgot it was "MOBILE", so I placed it via the Lappie, then immediately realised, so had to back it again (& Long Run) again via Mobile, & keep the original bets for myself, off-thread. How lucky was that? Think my Misclick File might be one of the best ROI's on Fred.......

Glad to see you are still misclicking successfully. Remains your biggest edge against the field.

Looks like two of our three bets on today's England-Australia RU have gone south, but at 20-13 with 10 minutes remaining, we are still sweating the Draw @ 22/1.

If England get up the pitch, they might try a drop goal to kill the game off...
