For Tikay.

Willie Mullins is Paddy's son, and in a nice bit of symmetry, Willie's son is called Patrick.

Thanks Doobs.

What happened to Tony, then?

I'm probably over-fascinated by horse racing "dynasties", but there seem to be more in this sport than in any other?

The Dickinson's ruled the roost for a while, Mum, Dad & Son, though I guess that is history now.

Barry Hills had twin sons, both did well, at least one is now a trainer?

The Dunlops, Elsworth's, Hannons? Many many others, I'd guess.

Piggott's daughter is Mrs Haggas, I think? Carson & Eddery both married into racing families, I think?

John Magnier is married to Mr Vincent O'Brien's daughter?

But surely topping the lot is the Head family, as owners, trainers, breeders & jockeys, they must have won everything their is to win.

Excuse my fixation, indulge me.

Doubtless I've forgotten many, but I did that sans google. That comes later.....

Presumably because it is so expensive to start up on your own without having the facilities already in place? Well many do start every year with one or two horses then have stopped before they have started....

Might be to simplistic that

A premier league player is the 3rd worst according to average rating again from the top european leagues only (min 5 appearances)

Barry Hills' eldest son Charlie took over as trainer the twins are younger.

Ahh, my bad, but it fits the theme.

Back in the day, my Dad used to back all of Barry Hills runners "blind".

Eventually, Dad became unwell, & could not get to the bookies (no internet then, obviously, this was 30 or 40 years ago approx) so I said I'd do it for him. I'm slightly ashamed to admit that I eventually worked it out that it'd be better if I just "stood" the bets myself, which became a handy little income for me, albeit bittersweet, as I was taking money from my Dad, who was seriously unwell.

He did the same with George Duffield, backed every runner "blind" & I stood them, too. That one probably cost me a few bob down the years, as George would often pop up with big-priced winners. I do recall one Yankee getting home for £900, which was a shed-load of money to me, Dad was chuffed to bits, (he never knew I stood his bets) "we should celebrate, we stuck it right up the bookies" he said.

Yeah, lets celebrate that one Dad.

Fascinating story

There aint many lads around today that would have that £900 to pay out
