What price would you get (/does any bookmaker do prices) on Spurs to finish above Arsenal this season?

Would think it would be a fairly big price. Just curious.

Yikes, only 6 pts in it now

think the 2 postponed leagues games helps this bet

Why?

fixture congestion

sunderland and city already have a cup final ahead city are going to title and for europe extra fixtures for a cup will just get in way
everton havent the biggest squad out there and they are looking for the top 4 but although they aint going to get congested
they have now got a gap between them and spurs/liverpool and will be concentrating more on trying to close that than the cup IMHO

Mad, isn't it?!

özil described on the back of the Sun as a flop. What a difference! I'll be bumping the "arsenal are so bad that even spurs could finish above them this season" thread at this rate.

Still rather have the points, though Wink

Gary Linekar encouraging people through Twitter to watch MOTD tonight:

Kolo Toure having scored an embarrassing OG has just accidentally charged into the ref, knocking Phil Dowd for six. Comedy gold
.

Hadn't realised that the Arsenal, Manchester United game was postponed as well.

It does seem quite mad but Arsenal have been pretty average since early December and Spurs, bar the cup game with Arse, have been pretty decent since the start of the year.

Thread bump imminent/inevitable I fear :-)

Good old Gary, the man best known for being a crisp.

The Gooners struggle against the top sides, and until we get them extra couple of players Arsene keeps rebuffing we will continue to struggle against the top teams?

7 points off the lead. In the horse race metaphor, I reckon we are one of those guide horses for the blind.

GB lose in the curling.  Presumably this means we likely get a tough semi against one of the top 2 teams?  Anybody confirm this?

I looked up 2010 and it appears to be different than i thought it was. 1v4 2v3 with 1 & 2 having the hammer. Finishing 3 isn't a huge deal.

Missed the game today but i hear it was a good game and Eve went for it rather than take an easy tie break with Canada having advantage.

We're still ok but i guess it'd be a mucher bigger price if backing now Sad

Sandy

That is how I read it, but know you'd said previously iit was 3 vs 4, so thought I might have misunderstood what the semi final was.

Cheers

I thought it was as the Euros.

Tal,

There is a market for Spurs to finish above Arsenal on Betfair. It is under season long match bets. Not much liquidity.

Thanks, sonour. Would have wanted more than 3/1 the other day, tbh. God bless the hopeful soul who asked for someone to lay a fiver at 33/1.

Can anyone find a bet for Arsenal to finish outside the Top 4?

Best I can find is them 1/5 to be in Top 4.  With the run of games they have coming up, I think this will drift.
Conversely, Spurs to finish top 4 is best price 5/2.

There must be some value there somewhere.

Not suggesting Fred should green out on the "The Arsenal to finish in the top three" bet are you?

The locals won't be impressed...

I'm pretty sure spurs are capable of remembering we don't score enough and concede too many before the end of the season and arsenal will remember giving it to Giroud usually means winning. Then karabiner can post his cockerel/cannon gif and he and Adz can dance off to the Wenger fan club party (karabiner has a VIP pass; Adz somehow gets in with one of those 'I'm with the DJ' lines). I'll remain grumpy.

Just heard a mildly interesting stat.

It was about rugby so I can't remember the exact details (and CBA to check), but the gist:

France has won the 6 of the last 7 Five/Six Nations Championships in the spring after a Lions tour (the exact numbers is a guess)

Is this stat well known?

It makes perfect sense, but if it isn't well known it is one to keep under our hats until 2018.
